HRM Transit stopped running at 11:00am today because of the hella-storm that got really bad really fast. The last #1 was just crossing the bridge to the bridge terminal when the message for all buses to return to the garages came on over the speaker. I wasn’t looking forward to the long slog through the blizzard to get home from the terminal. A big thank you to the Out of Service bus driver who gave a ride to those of us who would be getting off at one of the stops along Victoria between the terminal and his turn-off to the bus garage as he was heading that way anyway! I sure hope I’m not getting anyone in trouble for this because everyone on the bus was very grateful! —safe and warm at home
