  1. I had a great walk to work this morning. Of course most of the sidewalks had been plowed last night at some point and by this morning the snow re-drifted some 4″ which made it difficult to negotiate step after step.
I chose to walk on the road and found the drivers very aware, slowed their speed and gave me lots of room.

The only real ‘bitch’ i have is to myself for being out of shape and overwhelmed by the 46 tonnes of snow in my driveway……

  2. AND RIGHTLY SO!

New Avatar Alert! Edward VI Shilling, 1551

    A pleasure as always.

    Cheerio!

  3. Fuck, you call that a storm? I didn’t even lose my power!!!

  4. 30 cm of snow and Hali handles it wonderfully, 2 cm of snow and everyone looses their minds, misses their busses, slips on ice everywhere and crashes their cars all over the place. We’re wierd.

  5. Rarely, one goes out in 30cm of snow and considers it ‘business as usual’…

2cm and no-one closes up, everyone thinks it’s no big deal, and crashes happen everywhere.

  6. pretty good storm day, i worked til the power went out then played outside with the dogs. we were well fuelled ahead of time with bacon and eggs. i finally stopped fretting about the pipes freezing during power outages at less than 10 below which made for a stress free storm.
and this morning my neighbour came over and plowed the entire drive with his atv!

    you nailed it zed. complacency

  7. after winter juan, nothing can phase me. living in northern ontario and new brunswick made me immune too

  8. i ran out to feed the birds this morning in my slippers and no coat, i have yukon immunity!

  9. I get tired of the cutsie terms like “Storm of the Season” or “Juanabee” coming out of the media. It was just a fucking storm.

  10. Great storm day… not so great scaling the snow banks this morning… I can understand the sidewalks not being done at 7:30am this morning… 5:00pm and I still have to scale a snowbank to get to a bus stop on a busy street? Unacceptable. Get your shit together, HRM.
