There’s a certain show on the taxpayer funded channel (CBC) that has the number 22 in the title, why is this shit still on the air? At conception it was funny, now it’s a flop house for the talent challenged. Wit, humour, cutting edge should feature in a show that I’m fucking well subsidising, instead, I get the same bunch of CBC Luvvies who will milk this until they either die from cirrhosis or, hopefully, NETFLIX kills this crap channel. —A Hilter, in Argentina

  1. I hear that the CEEB has plans to re-tool the show with an edgy new cast more reflective of Canadian diversity – Omar Khadr, Trevor Zinck, Karla Homolka, Olivia Chow, Mr. Occupy Mud Face and some aboriginal car torcher to be named later.

As long as they manage to keep the Rob Ford jokes fresh – guaranteed 10 seasons.

  2. What are you doing in Argentina Hilter? Aren’t you running in that bye-election out in North Minehead?

  3. CJ continues to hang on to the H22 gig with embedded fingernails which is just sad. Lady, you’re done, you ain’t no Joan Rivers. At least MW knew when to hang up the old lady’s wig.

There hasn’t been a good Canadian network comedy since SCTV.

  4. I actually enjoyed Air Farce on the radio. The switch to TV was not a good idea, agreed. At least there is other stuff worth watching.

  5. The CBC has one viewer … and it is you. If you choose not to watch then the entire organization will disappear. You have the power!

  6. CBC Radio has sucked the stippled corn chute since Max Ferguson retired. And don’t even get me started on Ayatollah Gomeshi. I remember when Moxy Fruvous had integrity. >; )

  7. If you’re really desperate, or have mental issues, you can watch Strombo.
Before I came to live here, and only visited at Christmas, I visited my future in laws down in CB, watching Wayne and Shuster introduced me to Keith’s to numb the fucking pain, they were allegedly funny?

  8. They won’t hire an Aboriginal to play the car torcher. Instead it’ll be some Mexican or Puerto Rican or Johnny Depp. Maybe even Jean Claude Van Damme in Biscuit-face!

  9. Memo to Canadian Tourists: Sewing a maple leaf to your backpack will not stop shrapnel or 7.62 X 39 rounds. And if some Dagestani is sawing at your neck with a knife and screeching “Hollar Huckbar” he really doesn’t really give a crap how many on-line “Free Omar” petitions you’ve signed, or that you own the complete “Little Mosque” collection on DVD.

  10. CC what is your interest in North Minehead you Britisher Pig, any more talk about it and it’s lampshade time.

  11. Kool it, Fuhrer Cat.

You must forgive him Herr Kritter. He’s a bit on edge lately. He hasn’t slept since 1945

  12. WIT, HUMOUR AND CUTTING EDGE

You must remember that wit, humour and cutting edge in respect to CBC television is a contradiction in terms. It is an oxymoron.

    A pleasure as always.
