Me and my sister almost got hit last year and when we called the cops to report what happened he asked us what we wanted them to do about it. We said something at least get a hold of him and tell him to drive more carefully we gave you the licence plate.My sister had to push me out of the way. If we would of had our kids with us we all would of been dead no questions asked we were going to bring them with us but it was to cold when we left thank god!! Clearly nothing has been done people are getting hit left right and centre IN CROSS WALKS MIGHT I ADD THIS IS GETTING REALLY FUCKING ANNOYING something needs to be done!!!!! —A very angry lady

I call bullshit. If you weren’t being an idiot in your walking and called the plate in to the cops, they would at least write the report and contact the driver to get the other side of the story.
Did you make eye contact with the driver? Look both ways before crossing the street? One of those people who think a car can stop in 5 feet as soon as you walk up to a cross walk? Walk out from behind a pole or building to the cross walk and think the driver will notice you and stop all within 10 feet? (I see this one happen all the time).
Not defending the driver, many times they are in the wrong. But in the end you have to look out for your safety.
We looked both ways and did make eye contact..that’s what both sides are taught to do…then proceeded with walking when we seen him slow down a tad then it was like we were invisible all of a sudden because he continued at us but with no hesitation…my sister pushed me out of the way then angrily swung her purse and it struck the then passing car when the driver realized what happened he slammed it into reverse and jumped out and screamed at us that we shouldn’t have hit his car we screamed back his plate and that he almost took our lives then he jumped back in his car and sped off that’s when another waiting car told us they seen the whole thing and said she would call the police as well so we also proceeded….the truth is sometimes stranger then fiction…
I love how everyone always jumps to blame the pedestrians…
My advice: get a spark plug on a rope. Take the guy’s window out with it. When they call the cops, tell the cops nothing. Just tell them that you were into the crosswalk at the same time the car entered.
That is all the officer needs to know to press charges.
This happens all the time. Stop victim blaming, ffs.
I’m super careful while crossing and this shit happens constantly. Once, I saw two people speed through a crosswalk with multiple people in it almost killing a lady with her newborn. I caught up to the fucker in the car at the next red light and bitched him out.
I used alllll kinds of expletives because this shit pisses me the fuck off.
I’m seriously considering carrying eggs with me when I’m out and about. Can’t be charged for throwing an egg at someone who fails to yeild to a pedestrian in a crosswalk, and it really startles/pisses drivers off.
