I am so angry at a certain home reno type business and the crap service that they provided. They said they were the best….far from it. Can I take out an ad in the paper and name them and detail my situation or is it considered slander. I wasted thousands on them, what a few more dollars? —should have done it myself

  1. What timing! I’m looking for a contractor and would like to know who NOT to contact.

Report these fuckers to the Better Business Bureau.

Could you send me this contractor’s name? As a retiree, getting ripped off is the last thing I need:

If there’s any of you who have had horrendous experiences with home reno, please let me know who did these modifications. On the other hand, if you know any reputable contractors in HRM, I wouldn’t mind getting a few names.

  2. Psh!

    “They said” says it all.

May I ask, after saying they were the best did they also put in the lowest bid?

  3. LIBEL, NOT SLANDER

“Can I take out an ad in the paper and name them and detail my situation or is it considered slander?” should have done it myself

No, being written, it’s considered libel. Slander, on the other hand, is verbal.

    A pleasure as always.

    Cheerio!

  4. Without you providing a full matrix on what you asked for versus what they provided, I can’t really offer any opinion except to say that if you feel you were slighted by them to report them to the BBB.

  5. The ad you take out is one that warns people like yourself that BELIEVING home reno businesses who “SAY” they are the “BEST” and replying on such, is a poor decision-making process.

  6. It’s so discouraging that you can’t find honest tradesmen these days. From contractors to mechanics, many simply want to part you from your cash and the more they can grab in their grubby little mitts, the better. Motherfucking cockroaches of humanity.
