To the fucker who almost killed me!! FUCK YOU!!! It’s only by the grace of God that you didn’t cause a deadly pile up on the Hwy102 exit 4b at 4:20pm on Sunday. Are you that fucking stupid you don’t know you don’t stop your car on the highway? You couldn’t merge on …… so you fucking stop your car in the on/off lane??!! To asshole in front me who stopped to let her on?? What the fuck is wrong with you?? How have you survived to adulthood?? FUCK YOU TOO!!! You obviously don’t look in your rearview mirror because you didn’t see the fucking truck flying up behind me or the car beside me. I almost got taken out because of you morons!!! Do us a favour and park your fucking cars!! You are menace to other drivers on the road. — I understand road rage!

By the way you’re telling this story…you wrote the book on road rage….let it go and get on with your life. Not all people have your driving skills.
Sounds like a few people were having a 4:20 moment.
I wonder if that was the same young lady who stopped in front of me on the approach to 102 at prospect, with a semi accelerating up my derriere? she scared the wits out of me.
I pulled to the side to avoid getting rear ended. sure glad I took defensive driving courses to help me deal with other drivers’ behaviours. of course, if I had been on the highway instead of approaching it I wouldn’t have had my nose up the ass end of the car in front of me, thereby giving myself a window to fucking brake. and I also wouldn’t have had my own head so far up my own ass thinking about god knows what while driving at 110-120 k because I would have been scanning the area for potential problems ESPECIALLY when approaching a merge onto the highway.
I hear you OB. Some people don’t have the confidence to merge at the higher speeds to others feel like they are helping them out by slowing down below highway speeds. It’s a dog eat dog world out there. My advice, keep an eye on each exit and decide if you should be in the left lane when passing an on/off ramp.
Try cycling on Agricola Street at 4pm…
I was a little sardonic on my last comment, I’ve read the bitch again and I still come up with OP maybe being a tailgater of sorts and in a rush….whatever happened to the 3 second rule for following another vehicle, whether on city streets…the highway or on/off ramp.
That allows a driver to react to any situation, no matter what, without feeling like you’ll be part of the vehicle in front of you. I deal everyday with those issues and compensate my driving to avoid any nasty surprises.
One also has to understand that getting a new licence doesn’t give you experience carte blanche. I witness this phenomenon daily.
Defensive driving is the only way to survive the fucking goons in HRM who disregard every rule of the road – just assume every driver has the attention span of a gnat and drive accordingly. I just scan the highway like a freaking Robogeezer these days.
You ought to rein in that rage, OP, you could hurt yourself and someone else with such a temper. Count to ten. Scream to ten, if you have to – yes, that other driver is a dimwit but shit does happen – it could be an inexperienced driver, someone not familiar with the area or just your old run of the mill inattentive moron. Deal with it and stop bursting blood vessels over perfect strangers.
I hear ya, OB. People are stupid as fuck, and most of them deserve a throat punch for pulling the shit they do with no regard for anyone else’s safety. The shit that I encounter on a daily basis is just unbelievable, and when you correct them or point out their mistake, you get the finger back. I say fuckem!!! I follow the rules of the road and whatever happens, happens.
They’re just as bad as the idiots who stop in the middle of the block to let some idiot jaywalker to pass. I don’t know if they’re scared, being polite or what but those are the type of stupid actions that cause accidents.
Did they have the N word sprayed on the side of the car?
sorry about that ob. i had ma’s car and i had to get to the comic book store and back in time to rub her feet before bingo. i’m not used to driving a stick.
In the case of merging onto a highway, it’s more about a consistent speed and confidence to slip in between cars. Don’t slow right down on the highway or merging ramp if at all possible. You can let the foot off the gas to slow a bit but you are part of a flow so best to stay that way. The risks are too high.
Basically what OP said with a little less rage.
stopping on an on-ramp sucks balls…
but stopping in the street to let some douchebag who stopped on the onramp out is just the worst.
People! Stop stopping to let people in from sidestreets, driveways, and drive-thrus! Just fucking don’t do it!
