Sitting in my backyard on any given day, I might hear the bagpipes two blocks down, the poor bastard nearby trying to learn to play the bugle, the muffled sounds of the band down the street dreaming of fame and fortune, the passing rush hour traffic, squawking crows in the trees overhead, neighbours’ dogs barking, the North End anthem of distant sirens, or some children playing somewhere nearby. I never complain. Anyone who complains about noise before midnight needs to get a reality check. This is a city. A vibrant, beautiful city. Sit back, chill out and enjoy the symphony. —Easy Ear

Ahhh…a quiet neighbourhood.
Beauty is all around us.
sounds like my neighbourhood, which i love. especially the crows and bagpipes
Sure beats the racket on Pleasant St which isn’t a pleasant street to live on at all
ahhh bagpipes, pls send them out here.
Give me wind and trees and water any day.
I have loved bagpipes in the near distance in the early morning hours since I was a small child <3
wind and trees and water yes! (but with bagpipes in the distance, through fog)
and gulls.
Almost like visiting Peggy’s Cove sitting at Whalesback restaurant during tourism season…bagpipes cutting through a foggy day Molly and SheSang. Ahhh.
