In competitive sports I believe a certain amount of uniformity is necessary in order to maintain fairness and team spirit. In other words all members of a team sport should be obliged to wear the clothing that is standard and in proportion to their body. That goes for colour of the uniform, length of shorts, socks etc. It establishes a standard of fairness and is a reminder to each individual that they are part of a team. Seems arbitrary but key in terms of psychology.
Though I believe in freedom and religious expression, it doesn’t apply here. No “I” in team right? So Reg says no turban or all turban.
As for the bitch specifically, a turban would be a disadvantage so the cafe owner’s argument is invalid IMO. Anti-turbanism wouldn’t so much racism as cultural prejudice. People can’t change the colour of their skin but anybody can wear a turban.

Turbans should be banned from the soccer field as the headwear provides an advantage.
If you play or have watched soccer you will have seen many goals scored by a player allowing the ball to glance off the top of the head, or a defender has cleared a ball by doing the same. The addition of a turban gives a player an unfair and unnatural advantage in the game.
Try and find an Indian team with any player wearing headwear.
And Sikh Mounties have an unfair advantage over the rest of the riot squad…
