OP, don’t listen to the bitter “he’s a piece of shit” talk. If you really love him but know you should let him go, then let him go with love in your heart instead of poisoning your memories with your hatred. Otherwise, you risk becoming a bitter piece of shit, right?
If you truly loved him, take a break to heal, then go find someone who can return your love.

Well said, Paul. Sounds like the OP was aware of the situation at hand while they were doing the deed. She’s not in a position to cast judgement on the guy if she went in knowing she was the ‘other woman’. Op, best to just admit to yourself that you had a lapse in good judgement, cut your losses (if any) and move forward.
You’re kidding yourself if you think that he’ll be ‘with her and only her’ if he’s pulling this stint with you a la carte. It may take him some time but he’ll replace you.

What an excellent manipulator. He actually had you convinced that you came up with the idea to let him be happier with his girlfriend, than cheating with you. He got free sex and no reprimand from you, after her was a major douche to (fittingly) the girl who he belongs to.
