To the woman who was raped on Agricola Street on February 14, 2012: Ever since I heard about what happened to you, I have been thinking about you, every minute of every day. I want you to know that you are not alone in your grief, your sadness and your anger. My heart is broken for you. I offer you some random love to help you heal from this random violence: I am a professional massage therapist, my office is right across the street from where you were attacked. If you would let me, I would like to give you some massage treatments, for free. If you don’t want to return to that location, I will bring my massage table to you. This is a long term offering for love and support. Contact me if and when you are ready. —marshmassage@yahoo.ca

Very kind of you OP… I hope she reads your message. I can’t imagine the nightmare this woman is living right now 🙁
I know you mean well and touch-based therapy can be good waaaaaaaaaaaaaay down the line………but someone who was just physically violated MORE THAN LIKELY won’t want to be touched…even hugged……for a very long time.
poster doesn’t say, but good grief, it has to be a female, right?? right?? a guy wouldn’t, couldn’t possibly offer massage. would he?
A massage? Even by a massage therapist, across from where you were attacked! I don’t know how appropriate this offer is.
That’s just plain Creepy.
This is nice but comes across a little strange OB – I have a feeling it will be a while before strangers fingertips are the answer to her problems 🙁
I’ve got to go with the consensus on this one. If you were a pastry chef offering a basket of baked goods or a florist offering a bouquet of flowers or something, then maybe … But offering a free massage to the victim of a rape? Not even a month after the assault took place no less?
I genuinely hope that you are a well-meaning individual who just over-looked how inappropriate this offer actually is and not a troll. Because I love trolling as much as the next guy but some things are sacred.
i agree with above. seriously this isn’t a simple matter of a physical injury, massage can do a lot but i would hesitate to believe it can “cure” this.
