While I absolutely think bisexualism is a thing, there are some people who identify as bisexual while only being sexually interested in one gender, while only emotionally connecting with the other.
That being said, if you’re only sexually interested in one sex and you don’t emotionally connect with them, then my GOD don’t fuck with them. Be up front!!!
I have a good friend who has dated both men and women, and she finds she can’t connect emotionally with men — she’s just into them sexually. So she’s 100% up front with them when it comes to dating them. She’s into dudes for the sex and into women for companionship. And that’s ok as long as you aren’t fucking with any heads.
