Dear Sweetheart,

To the young girl 20ish and looked well off:

So you’re on Bayers/Caunaught walking up through traffic while we have the green light with your “Travelling… need money”.

Are you asking for a death wish? Walking between cars in the middle of the road. Here’s a tip. Stay home if you have no money to travel. I want to travel too but I’m not going to ask people for gas money.

Did anyone else see this chick on Sunday? —Senor Campana

  1. As my sister-in law put it so well, “You’re young and healthy, show some self-respect and initiative and get out there and sell your body”

  2. I see this fuck all the time. Both in Halifax and in Dartmouth around Sportsplex.Holding cardboard saying “Travelling, Need Money”. Excuse me? Did I really just read that? How about saving up your money, and enough of it so that you can go on your trip and get home safely. Dont be so fucking dumb, I’ll never give you a penny. I understand if you were born into a shitty situation and have legit reasons to be homeless/panhandler/etc. If your twenty and completely healthy, dont depend on the public to support you. Lazy, dumb fucks.

  3. I like the ones at Bayers Rd. and Connaught? Near the Hali Shopping Centre. (In front of Cdn Tire gas station) About ten of them share the same sign.

  4. They’re sharing the same sign? How eco-friendly. Give their names to Elizabeth May and they can run as Green candidates in the next election.

  5. Are you talking about the girl in the fishnet stockings and denim skirt? When we passed her I noticed how expensive her clothes looked, almost like she was dressed up in a costume for beggin’.

  6. I love their entitlement. Sure, it’s totally my job to pay you to do nothing. Get a job, bitch-ass-tricks.

  7. Fuck, when I watch my 60+ Hub-Unit in constant pain, hobbling on his walker to go to work every goddamn day, I wanna smack these little shits across the head with a fucking marble coffee table.

  8. i drive out to tantallion a few times a week…perhaps some clotheslining is in order

  9. so that’s the weapon of choice for TTFN…
and you’ve got the name picked out….
all you need is a finisher.

May I suggest the two tittied, slingshot, tiltawhirl back-breaker?

  10. pg, I can help. I pass them every night coming down Young St. heading to the 102. I can stick my arm out every so slightly… and… whammo!

  11. Oh… and I’m sorry, somehow I completely missed the ‘Bayers Rd./Caunaught’ line from the OP… I must have been blinded by the spelling.

    >’two-tittied, slingshot, tiltawhirl back-breaker< heh

  12. ’tis true… that’s why I signed up. Now if only they’d send me my membership card and de-coder ring. martym promised me they’d be coming! (Oh and my screeeee/rawk-to-english dictionary 😉 )

  13. it’s like x-ray glasses and those damn sea monkeys. i preferred the thousand army men

  14. I saw her; and she was smoking. If you have enough coin for butts, then you don’t need my charity, the way I see it…

  15. you know what kind of money these “poor” kids can make; like hundreds a day; don’t facilatate them

  16. … and they pay fuck-all in income tax, and they minge about how the capitalist sytem has personally failed them, and they whine about how the government has abrogated it’s responsibility to care for them from shit-filled Pampers to shit-filled Depends. They show up at things like the G-20 riots because playing Junior-League Baader-Mienhoff Gang is the mind-fuck their scabbed-over central nervous systems crave when fucking and getting high have become too quotidian. They feign outrage at Big Business despoiling the planet and leave a trail of plastic mickey bottles, burger wrappers, Tim’s cups and ciggie butts wherever they go.
Farmer Bob’s Khmer Rouge inspired Final Solution looks better by the day. > ; )

  17. …such ranting so early. hey general, i’m only on my first coffee and me bones are hurty…roorawk

  18. Sorry Painey – Dunder-Mifflin Corporate has had a major case of the stoopids forced upon it by a certain soul-leaching chain who shall go nameless and the 7th Commandment of Corporate Arse-Fuckery – All Dung Shall Rolleth Downhill – is being proven to full effect. Me bones and brain are also hurty. Rooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo! >: 0

  19. i’m not complaining saweet thing^^this weather plays havoc with me bones and bits o metal that hold some of them together…soul-leaching chain eh? luckily i don’t have to deal with that

  20. >: ( Bet you have a million laughs going through security at the airport^^^. SOBova gets all achy with the onset of damp weather. Now if only her bunions could predict winning lotto tickets we’d be set for life. I could join the happy ranks of the self-employed:
“Cranky Old Bastard’s Second-Hand War Books – You Crack My Spines; I Crack Yours.”
Think there’s a niche in Halitown?

  21. Oh yes, colonel – sounds like a lovely business. According to the coast, there’s a market for something like that on Gottingen. Through them out back in the dumpster when you’re finished. I’m sure they won’t be noticed along side the others…

  22. I’d prefer B-St. It’s developing that hip, urban vibe. Lots of empty spaces and closer to the ferry terminal. I’m rubbish at reloading on the run. Now if I can just get someone to help me fill out the ACOA grant application….

  23. i’m just waiting for them to tear down the building full of *treasures* on gottingen…i think jimmy hoffa might be in there

  24. I can’t believe I wrote through instead of throw. I’m actually busy at work today, so perhaps I’m unable to multitask as well as I previously thought. Ha, after nagging at those who have poor grammar, I’m ashamed.

  25. They’re even younger on SGR now. A couple weeks ago I was approached by a kid no more older than 13/14 while her panhandling partner just sat on the sidewalk looking like the pathetic, lazy piece of shit he is/was. If you don’t got enough for two bus trips don’t come downtown. Or go ask your friend for a dollar; he put in the hours that day.

  26. Back to topic for a mo’… the girl holding the sign today had dark-hair in a pony-tail, denim capris and a hoodie that had been make from grandma’s old braided rug. She also looked as if she wanted to be anywhere else than that intersection. Now I’m thinking: ‘Family of beggars and Dad’s making em ALL work’ or ‘Uni students, ten to a house, who felt like wandering a semi-busy intersection instead of getting a summer job to earn cash’.

  27. now you’re thinking too much rosie…i suggest, if you have the chance ask them what’s your story. their response may not be what you want but you would know…or ignore them^^

  28. I really didn’t think anything about it PG until this bitch came up, but I really do pass them everyday and my ‘animator/script-writer’ brain keeps coming up with all these possibilities… perhaps I should stay away from LTWWB…

  29. Aw, the Halifamous/Anus bitch is gone!! And I didn’t get a chance to catch up on the fun before it was pulled. So sad. 🙁

  30. I guess some lurker’s not an “Are You Being Served” fan. Hey Painey – howze dem bones today?

  31. much better, but i think that monthly bitch is here…oh well ever onward^^and rosie you belong here…brains are good

  32. …with a lovely fresh salsa picante made from you own garden vegetables. Don’t spare the cilantro. Damn I’m hungry!

  33. yes it is a loverly morn, loads o laundry on the line, critters all fed and blood spillage*snort

  34. I used to carrier drops for The Daily News a few years ago. I usually had a few papers left over after my night shift and one day I was driving down Robie and was at a light when i could see one of these people approaching the line of cars i was in. I quickly opened the paper and found the classified section and when they got to my window, i threw them a paper and said “employment section is page 34 (or whatever) .. the look on their face was priceless as i drove away
