To a local employment agency: please stop advertising work you can’t offer. It’s hard enough looking for work without seeing this carrot dangling before my eyes and likely countless others. Clarity, folks, clarity. I’ve wasted a month conversing with you. I really should move on to another dead end. —mgp

If a local employment agency is advertising work they can’t offer then they should be taken to task for it. Wouldn’t that be false advertising?
OP, if you talk to 100 people, I’ll bet you that atleast one of them will offer you a job. So, get out there and start working on the 99 rejections. I know it is hard if you don’t have the personality to handle the rejections, but this is only a short term problem, eventually you will find something so keep at it.
Enjoy your EI (gravy train with biscuit wheels) till it runs out. Then you qualify for the welfare, and you get free meals from the soup kitchen and free food from the food bank. You can’t fail in this bubblewrap society. So let it ride, your bets are hedged!!
Try church, they have better carrots.
I was unemployed for 10 months. Sending resumes out daily. It had to have been over 100 total that I’d sent out. It’s not that easy. I turned to the blood sucking employement agencies too. They do lie in their ads, they only find you jobs that last a month, and then they take half your salary. I HATE them!
if you wait for THE job, you will be waiting a long fucking time, take what pays the fucking bill, dummy.
