I must admit I am in a very foul mood at the moment…
though I can’t very well leave alone the fact that as I pull into the Antigonish Tims last night with my muffler having been dragged behind me for 20 odd minutes, several people there came over and helped me prop it up enough to be able to drive back to the city… albeit loudly. One guy even ripped strips off the shirt on his back to be able to tie it up and secure it enough.

To boot, I then offered them coffee/donuts/cold beverages from Tims to which they replied, “naw, we’re good”.

THANK YOU… while it blew goat-nads that it happened…
you are truly, genuinely, very nice and helpful people.
I have a new-found love for Antigonish now… where once I thought it only annoying that I have to stop at lights on a highway.
I will now enjoy every time I need to stop in there.

Thanks so much!

  1. always carry a couple of metal coat hangers o.p., this is something a lot of people should do. they come in real handy at times like this. lesson learned.

  2. they were all cheapo plastic ones….
luckily, I had a container of spare wires and stuff….
a coax cable and the shirt helped keep it elevated until I could get raped at the mechanic to have it fixed.

  3. jeez i should have clued in that it was you, what with all the zzzzzz’s. i’m slow to go this morn^^

  4. Considering all the Scotia bashing that’s been going on here of late, a pessimist might think our Z-man was lucky not to have been invited to a cross-lighting at the local Klavern or treated to some intensive banjo lessons. Sorry about your wheels zZz and your non-dedutible contribution to Local 448 of the International Brotherhood of Mechanics, Grease Monkeys and Guys Who Hang Around Garages Spitting And Picking Their Nose pension fund. Glad it worked out for ya.

  5. I once knew someone with a loud muff that was FROM antigonish, I think she got her problem fixed too. HOLLA to the antigonishiganitestans! Honestly never thought i’d see their virtues praised in print, the last good thing to come out of antigonish was….oh never mind, he wouldn’t be reading this anyway.
