A man is violently robbed and assaulted on August 28 off of Waverly Rd. and a certain local reporter posts several photographs of the victim’s home on social media.
I asked the reporter if she thought the man had been through enough, without having photos of his home posted on the internet. They told me they post pictures of any crime scene.
How would you feel if that were you or your loved one?
Yes, it’s a crime scene but it’s also the home of the innocent person that was violently robbed an assaulted. Why add even more trauma and suffering to them?

Am I missing something? How is the victim re-victimized by having his house pictured? Explain.

I’m not sure how having a picture of the victims house hurts the victim in anyway.
The reporter is just doing what they are hired and expected to do. I think all decisions about what to photos or text to publish are made by an editor. So, as far as I know, you were talking to the wrong person.
I remember when there was a crime that happened down the street from my house. Well, it wasn’t really down the street, or even in the same town, but, it hurt my feelings so someone is going to be have to be held responsible. Ugggghhhhh…shut up!!!
