What: Tap Tap Tap like a teeny tiny hammer on my window but it’s outside and after stamping the concrete with my fancy new running shoes I cannot find it. WHAT IS IT? Tell me who to call/complain/harass/ and I will get the job done. —SINGLE LADY IN SLEEP DISTRESS. SAVE ME!

  1. Stamping concrete to find a tapping noise against your window? I don’t get it. Maybe it’s someone’s cell phone alarm vibrating above you?

  3. melectric… I think the stamping feet was her huffing it outside to see where the noise was…
    The alarm sounds plausible though for it to go off for an entire hour???

  7. Does this sound occur as the sun is coming up? If so, I used to live in a building that would creak (could be tap tap for you) as it heated up and the material it was made of would expand and make noise. Hope this helps…

  8. ever hear tell of a thing called a woodpecker? really can get annoying sometimes, and the wood borers are even worse,then it sounds like someone knocking, loudly.

  10. I just read a book (fiction) about a woman who heard an unexplained tapping noise; turned out it was a sign of oncoming demon-posession.
    Sure hope that’s not it.
