When it comes to finance and matters of cautious use of other folks money, I’m afraid the NDP just don’t have it. Would someone who is more gifted than me kindly do some research and try to tot up just exactly how much money the Orange Menace have frittered away since they came to power?
When we last had a real finance minister, one who actually went to skool n studied figures’n’fings cash like, we were in the shitter to the tune of $13.1 billion, he forecast that by the end of this year we’d be at $13.7 billion, then he quit, probably in disgust.
We now have a finance minister who trained as a social worker, what kind of signal does that send out? I suspect her only qualification was she agreed with Dexter and so got lumbered with the job.

Poor Dexie’s harshest critics are from the Bolshevik wing of his own party – FOR NOT BEING LEFTIE ENOUGH!
Think of how fucked we’d be if the “Social Workers”,
“Academics” and “Caring Nurturers” of the party actually had their own way. >: 0
Do you not remember the last 30 years?
FS – the Orange Horde have done more fiscal damage in less than one term than the other 2 parties took decades to accomplish.
I dont think that is true at all. Utter bullshit. And whay shouldn’t they have they’re turn giving Nova Scotians a good rogering? We are already bent over and gaped from the long line of liberal and tory governments that have come before.
whay and they’re – you’ve just blown any credibility with those 2 gaffes.
Touché?
It seems like no matter who we elect, they all like to spend our money. Just tell me which party will but the f’ing brakes on NSP, for real, and they’ve got my vote.
(But absolutely not Dexter)
no party will make any difference, they all have backdoor deals with NSP among other businesses, you can’t not have them and get in power
Sadly, the NDP was the last bastion for me. Foer whom will I now vote? Santa. Ayatollah Khomeini. My cat. The spider on my lilacs.
Darrell Dexter has taken the NDP and ground it into the earth. The party is irrevocably soiled.
..WHAT..socialists spending tax money..well that’s a shock
If the ships start here campaign is side lined or cancelled, NS is well and truly fucked. I’d like to see Dexter try and recover the $$ from Irving.
As almost half the population of the province live in or near HRM, I’d like to see a HRM Party, one that looks after the interests of the money earners and not try to keep rural NS on taxpayer funded life support. Sydney is a prime example of a decades old dead horse being kept alive on handouts and pie in the sky pacify the fuckers to quit them whining bucks.
13.7 billion is fuck all, when you consider how much cash was pocketed by the other 2 groups of crooks over their lifetime reign. don’t be putting dexter down because your pet con men didn’t get in again. be glad they are at least trying to make jobs, and fix fucking roads. ther are worst things that they could be doing, and you know what i mean, the other 2 groups had it down to a science, and are pissed off, that the dirty little fingers were caught. from what i hear, there is more surprises coming our way in near future, some good, but others terible. and they come out of ottawa.
I have not found the Dexter government to be a left-wing socialist government. If anytime, I damn them for not distinguishing themselves from previous governments and I think that’s the profound disappointment a lot of us have had with them.
Don’t yourself though, the Liberals won’t be any better maybe worse.
I’m going with Mister Meaty on that one.
I just gave up. I just won’t vote anymore! No use.
If voting worked and it actually changed anything, it would be illegal.
They’ve all been garbage!
Perhaps if voting were government mandated and everyone HAD to vote or face fines/etc, (like the census or jury duty) you’d see true representation of the people’s feelings on candidates.
That is the only way I can rationalize a Conservative Majority Government right now.
The youngsters can’t be bothered to place their vote and the old phogies are raping them the only way they can. I saw a comment in the Horrid today… from a Nova Scotian who actually was pro-Harper! I’m not sure how deluded or hypnotized you have to be to back a party in power who’s leader has abandoned your home province… but they are indeed out there and certainly voting each and every time.
zzz …. some people like to bend over & have it driven up their back passage hard & often !
For democracy to actually work, the majority should have to decide, I may not like their decission but if the majority of voters in the country decide, then I will respect that, chances are good I won’t like it, but can respect it.
Which IMO means that when it is time to vote, you are required by LAW to vote. Some may disagree, but if we can have laws that penalize you for parking in a spot paid for by your tax dollars a couple of minutes too long , I see no reason why they cannot make it a requirement that you have to vote.
The CBC reported almost 62% voted last election
I see that as a 38% are missing & if they voted to say the losing side we would have a very different government right now.
IF they voted Conservative we would have a real majority Gov, instead of a minority winner in charge as if they actually got a majority .

hell, that missing 38% could have had the green party in power.
It makes a difference when you add it all up.
