I know you have a job to do Mr Garbage man, but when I’m driving down the road and you have the truck completely on the sidewalk, could you not pull out when I’m so close that i have to slam on the breaks? i know you have a job to do, but people on the road technically still have the right of way.

Also your imitation of me being exasperated at a nearly head on collision was cute too… don’t worry, i know it’s tough sitting down while some other guy lifts garbage. —First time Bitcher

  1. This doesn’t all make sense…they were “completly” on the sidewalk and then as soon as you were near they were OMG RIGHT THERE for a “head on collision”? If it was a head on collision that means either you or he was driving on the wrong side of the road…? Oh and they have blind spots so it’s a good idea to not race to get around them.

  2. You always have to watch out when driving alongside a large vehicle, the blind spots are huge. Garbage trucks are hard to judge because they use flashing lights as opposed to signals. The driver’s behavior was a bit much though.

  3. Thanks OP. But seriously, is typing “breaks” when you mean “brakes” an east coast thing or what?

Nary a day goes by where somebody doesn’t bitch about a driving mishap, and the majority of them (mis)spell ‘brakes’ as ‘breaks’.

I’m no grammar fascist, but come on, it’s B-R-A-K-E-S!!!! Breaks are what you get at work. BRAKES are what stop a car. Come on!

  4. put on the breaks theer westcoastkid…. take a brake and relax….
you’re going to brake something with all that breaks on a car rage.

  5. just to clarify, he was completely on the sidewalk and stopped, on the wrong side of the road. he then pulled his front end into the road as i was probably about 5-6 car lengths away.

The major point being, he could see me coming and pulled out because he’s the bigger vehicle.
