  1. the needle would be the least of your “pain” i would imagine the resulting wait from hell would be ummm unpleasant 🙁

  2. Christy Brown, we’re keeping a good thought for you.
Hope your news is good and comes quickly. >: )

  3. If I involved prayer in my life, you’d be in them. But I am directing some good positive energy your way nonetheless…. Wishing you nothing but the best…….

  4. I’ll cross my fingers, legs, arms and eyes for you, OP – Hope it all turns out o.k.

  5. If you can tolerate ginger, buy some of the candied type and nibble on it daily as a snack. A friend who went through what you are going through (and came through it successfully) told me that she feels that something in the ginger (I don’t remember what) has help to keep her from a re-occurrence. I don’t know if she is correct, but it can’t hurt–the onions, garlic and ginger she uses in her diet are good for you regardless.
You have my best wishes for a positive outcome = ).

  6. Being familiar with this diagnostic procedure I can only say that the pain is worth it if early diagnosis is the outcome. The best result is non-malignancy and this is what I wish for you and your left tit:)

  7. Sebastard obviously has no clue what the OP is talking about. Trying having a nut biopsy seb and explain to us how easy it is to “numb the area….”

  8. Biopsy needles usually have to deep, and for a breast biopsy, this is almost certainly the case. A little lidocaine isn’t going to help matters much.

  9. Suffice it to say that it is not a slender needle and it needs to be long enough to penetrate deep into the breast tissue. The larger the breast the deeper the needle must penetrate. Also, the needle must penetrate a potentially painful lump. This is usually performed while one’s breast is flattened to a pancake in the mammogram machine to isolate the lump. Lotsa fun eh?

Maybe ‘My left tit’ will be able to keep us apprised of the outcome.

  10. If they’re anywhere near the gauge that they use to stick me when I give blood, I’d probably pass out.

And if it’s what I think it is, from what my wife tells me, the biopsy is a walk in the park compared to the treatment. Let’s hope it doesn’t go that far.

  11. ah oceanlady vous etes dans ma thoughts…je suis desole. sorry the boy isn’t here to help with za french xo

  12. Thanks girl of pain but my test was a while ago with non-ominous results. No nasty treatment required:)
