Saturday was an overwhelming hot and humid day. My partner, another member of my family and I went for a drive. The other member of my family went into a coffee shop. He came out with two small cool drinks. He handed one to my partner and keep one for himself. I was wondering where my cool drink was because I was thirsty and hot too. So I just watched them both drink their cool drinks. If I would have said anything there would have been an argument so I just stayed thirsty. Some day I will get my reward in life. I do not know when but I do believe that I will get one. It may be a drive on a Harley. It may be my own restaurant turkey dinner. It may getting my own large fruit smoothie. It may be getting my own ice cream birthday cake. My very own personal monthly supply of cola pop. I hope that what goes around comes around. I know that two wrongs do not make a right but one plus one does not equal three, either. –A Jewel in My Crown

  1. You probably don’t want to know what your partner is drinking behind his bolted steel door, either.

  2. Did you ask for something? If your partner asked for something and you didn’t then it stands to reason you didn’t want anything. Further, it is even more disturbing that had you said something, it would cause a fight. Why on Earth would it?

  3. Can’t drink a cold bevvy with great big fuckoff spikes in your palms. Oh, wait. Not an issue for the OP. Carry on.

  4. reading this again, anyone else feel like crying? How pathetic do you have to be to consider a ‘real restaurant turkey dinner’ a reward in life? I wouldn’t want to know this person, they would suck the life right out of you like some squishy, spineless vampire amoeba, but man, that’s pathetic.

  5. Are you for some reason incapable of getting off your ass and getting your own drink?
It’s too bad that your partner and family member were too inconsiderate to get you one, but sweetheart, sometimes you’ve got to take care of yourself and not sit around waiting for everyone else to do so.

  6. Maybe your family member didn’t have enough money to buy you and your mooch partner drinnks… Why didn’t you share your partners drink? Why didn’t you go buy your own? Three’s a crowd…why’d you even invite the family member? To foot the bill?

  7. Makes me a little sad too GDMolly. Sounds like the OP maybe doesn’t have much money of their own, relies mostly on their partner for income so is too afraid to ask for things or speak up for fear of being left alone with nothing. Doesn’t sound like their family is really supportive either. All they want is a large fruit smoothie and they’ll be happy GAWD :'(!!!

  8. PK, could be. one hopes. but the last wish, for a month’s supply of ‘cola pop’ doesn’t sound like a fur-wearer’s treat. even my garburator Molly doesn’t drink pop. however, special place in hell for people who drag the pooch out to events and don’t bring water. partner took the social pup to walk the bridge and concert crawl on Sunday, and was mobbed by furries when she put down the bowl of water for him. Human with one of the dogs said ‘gee that’s a good idea’. During tall ships i packed a couple litres water and forced myself on people with dogs along the harbourwalk if i didn’t see water jugs hanging off their bodies. morons.

  9. Wow, I’m depressed. Send me your e-mail OP, I’ll take you out for your own restaurant turkey dinner. Your partner and family member can watch you eat it.
