Every week I invite you guys to something fun going on in the city—and it’s usually a mix of stuff that is free or costs less than $20…and I’m lucky if like one or two of you show up. I’m not going to miss out on the fun things going on, so I still end up going with work friends or my sister or even just by myself. Then when we finally do meet up weeks later, you all harp on me for being “too busy” and get mad at me because my work comps me tickets to various events. Well, here’s a big FUCK YOU to you all! I invite you all to everything I go to, and you choose to sit on your lazy asses and complain how this city sucks, whereas I am taking advantage of what Halifax does have to offer, and I have a blast. I can’t help it if my work gives me tickets to stuff sometimes, it’s a perk of my job since the pay isn’t that great. I’m tried of trying, and I’ve decided to just stop telling you guys about stuff to have it thrown in my face later. Time to branch out my social circle. —Tried of Trying

  1. Comp tickets? Can I be your friend? Promise I won’t ever complain about you finding (cheap/free) stuff to do.

Some people are never satisfied OB, life just ain’t convient enough.

When these people say no, do they ever say “thank you for thinking of me”? I sure as fuck do.

  2. hmmm….
I wonder which of these words isn’t needed….

“and I’m lucky if like one or two of you show up”

get your young ass out and meet new people… who like, don’t like talk all like… ditzy and like use the same like words to create these like pauses while their like brain thing grinds to like come up with like whatever the rest of it is you’re like trying to like express.

  3. well I agreed with every other part so that one ‘like’ was all I could really focus on.
so I went bawls out on ‘er.

  4. Events that cost $20 but you gotta buy drinks too, and gas etc… people ain’t got money to burn traipsing to all your hooplas all over town. Your work “comps” you the tickets, so you’re not complaining. The lameoid friends must be tired of your perks and your braggart self.
