I’m so fucking sick and tired of this foggy, cold, overcast, raining, misting, cloudy, damp, below average temperatures in the Maritimes.
Here it is June 26 and the nicest weather we’ve had was back in March for a week—what the hell? This weather is depressing me and I don’t know how much more I can take before I hit the bottle to drown my sorrows! ARGH why can’t global warming speed up and warm up our province! —Where Did Summer Go?

A survey just popped up on my screen and I tried trolling it….it wanted none of my shit and closed the window automatically when in the section for “Where do you normally access the internet from?” I wrote:
“Mars…sometimes….this is a really personal question that I’m not comfortable answering. Perhaps we can meet over dinner? I think there is a fine box wine on……”
The window closed before I could finish.

I was going to make some smart arse remark about how it ‘never rains in Vancouver, right?’ but then I thought “hmm maybe I should check that out so I don’t look like an arse if I’m wrong” and gosh golly gee I was: we’re the 4th rainiest city in Canada, I believe, and Vancouver’s 6th.

I find our summers actually are later in the last few years. Where May and June were traditionally decent months, they seem to be cooler and wetter now. July, August, September and October have taken the place temperature-wise of the May through August of years past.
People who bitch about weather are dummies. You can’t do anything about it, the only thing bitching about it does is annoy the people around you. Your family must despise you. Try being positive for once, Miss complainer! Just think how green your lawn’s gonna be!! WOOO HOOO!!!

Living away from Halifax now, the weather is the second thing I miss most. The ocean tops the list.
I know a former Haligonian who now lives in southern California. He said he was going crazy because it’s sunny all the time in SoCal. I don’t hear from him much now. He went completely nuts.
