So I’m on my break, headin’ to the Tim Horton’s in the Dartmouth Ferry Terminal. I’m standing there finishing off a cigarette before getting my coffee; all’s good, I’m in my own little world until THIS happened:

A woman was walking her dog, the dog was off a leash and the dog went up to curiously sniff a young man. The young man then attempted to kick the dog for NO reason. This dog was not growling, or being threatening by any means. He acts like nothing happened, then asks me for a smoke, and I tell him flat out “Not after what you just did.”

Now of course the woman walking the dog was upset, and confronted the young man. At first he denied what he did, then I called him out on his actions. Realizing that he was pretty much busted he started cursing out the woman with the dog AND me. I was trying to stand up for this middle-aged woman with a harmless animal, and how does he react? He threatens “I’ll slap you, you stupid mutha fuckin bitch!” and I just told him to go for it but sadly, he didn’t, cause I wouldn’t mind taking out my frustration on this coward.

What the hell is wrong with people?! FUCK! I’m still fuming over this! —Mind Snap

  1. most of them do back down…but be careful mind snap and thanks for calling the chickenshit out

  2. If your off-leash mutt comes towards me and I feel threatened…I can assure you that I won’t “attempt” to kick it under it’s jaw…or it’s windpipe.

  3. where do all these young, idiotic twatsicles congregate? I’ve never seen anything remotely aggressive as this idiot trying to kick a dog. how big was it?
I went to PPP recently and got jolted back to reality when I saw how large some dogs can get. I’m just used to my parents tiny lasa’s….

I’d a fuckin’ slapped the boogers out his nose if he’d try kicking them…

  4. good thing it wasn’t a rottie or pit bull, they would have latched unto his nuts, and stayed there. too bad.

  5. The woman who was walking the dog said it was 15 years old.
I’m not sure of the breed, but its head only came up to my knee (I’m 5’7″)

  6. yeah, that’s like over 105 year old dog… he probably has doggie dentures and I’m surprised he wasn’t in a doggy wheelchair.

    fucking punk.

  7. probably deaf and has cataracts…big threat, tho little old gnarly dogs can be grouchy…like people

  8. The dog didn’t look old, it was well taken care of, and it was friendly

I just don’t understand what kind of “man” tries to kick a small dog, curses out a middle-age woman, then threatens to hit a chick half his size… WTF?!

  9. aaah pettycrime my fav. you keep on doing it mind snap ya don’t even need a costume

  10. i think it’s just the newbie “i shall remain nameless editor” jonno…i hope that no bitches complained

  11. Mind Snap, I would have done the same; however, dog’s are suppose to be kept on leashes. Some people do not like/fear dogs.

But yeah..totally would have done the same.

And I want to know who this nameless editor is too!

  12. mod-3.0 show yourself!
gather some composure or I’m going to think of some ‘interesting’ things to post tomorrow to make your day long and full….

actually, now that I think about it, threatening the moderator probably isn’t the best way… nor is commanding….

    hmmmm,…. c’mere mod-3.0 I have a cookie….
what’s your name you cute widdle guy?

(and seriously, if they are looking – I couldn’t find the add PDG said he saw in print – I’d LOVE that job)

  13. zZz.. wouldn’t that bring about some sort of moral dilemma? “Hmmm…. should i delete my own post for being too offensive?” Actually no, if you were in charge, absolutely anything would be tolerated. Let’s start a petition to have Z given the job.

MOD… btw, the intended “target” of my original comment has built such a reputation that my post was simply just another product of the image of themselves they wish to portray. Pretty lame….. pretty lame. They give just as freely as they should be able to take.

  14. It’s not a mattter (necessarily) of being ‘contrary’, ML…it’s more like ‘checks and balances’.

There’s something skewed about this bitch…right down to the quote at the end that ensures we know 1) he was ‘badddd’ person, not just scared of dogs. 2) he was of Afro-Carribean descent; the OP was sure to include the ebonic vulgate “motha-fucka” so we’d all know.

There’s more to this story. What exactly does it mean “attempted to kick”? You either kick something, or you don’t. Did he swing his foot and miss? If I shake my fist at you, am I ‘attempting” to puch you, or trying to warn you?
Did the “innocent” dog continue to just quietly “be curious”?

And what was the owners role during this? Did she try and restrain her “curious” dog?

I know how dog-people work – they NEVER see the actions of their (recently) domesticated wild animals as being potentially harmful, until it’s too late. There is NO SUCH THING as a “harmless” dog. They are ALL descendant from ancestors that were carnivorous, hunted in packs, carried desease and wouldn’t have thought twice before attacking a human and tearing them to shreds.

How many people have recently been maimed by dogs that “wouldn’t hurt a soul…she just needs to ‘meet’ you…”? Lots.

No matter how “nice” you think your little fluffy is – a million years of evolution doesn’t disappear in a few thousand years of domestication.

Furthermore there are many cultures where dogs are more feral and more apt to do harm to humans….and these fears are, rightly or wrongly, passed on through generations. Even the presence of a dog can install fear to a desert Arab, for instance, where dogs are rarely used as man’s bst “friend”.

If you choose to live in our society, you must also agree to follow the rules. And the rules are, keep your fucking mutt on a leash, or it gets pepper-sprayed.

You should have chastised the owner.

  15. no moral dilemma… if anyone else comes along that is more crass, idiotic, and troubled than I, I will simply hand the login/pass over to them for moderation.
The inmates really should be running this asylum.

  16. BMF,

“It’s not a mattter (necessarily) of being ‘contrary'”
you’re being contrary just saying that.

“You either kick something, or you don’t. Did he swing his foot and miss? If I shake my fist at you, am I ‘attempting” to puch you, or trying to warn you?”
well if you’re going to go that route, we’re all doing an infitine number of things and also not doing an infinite number of things… but some are much more obvious than others…

I’m now attempting to spit on evander holyfield… oh, I missed. big shocker…
the OP said they tried to kick the dog… a normal person would take that to mean
‘the tard swung his foot and missed connecting in a violent manner to the dog’

I also somehow fail to believe this (OP DESCRIBED) harmless dog was anything near the vicious wild dingo…

You only have what the op has said to go off of…. take it as it is (even IF it’s not completely accurate – though with boobs like MindSnap’s, would she lie???)
I am of course referring to the old pic you used to use since I’m taking your representation as is.

  17. BMF…
I don’t think it REALLY matters what colour his skin was, and I only directly quoted what he said to me.

And by he “attempted” to kick the dog, he swung out his foot, aiming for it, but the dog moved, so his foot didn’t connect.

And the dog didn’t growl, or snap, or do ANYTHING threatening, all though I went a little out of line by just assuming this dog was harmless, I wrote this bitch about 10 minutes after the incident so I was still shaken at being verbally assaulted

Not to mention, I haven’t noticed ANY signs about it being a law to keep a dog on a leash at the Dartmouth Ferry Terminal, but I’ll keep my eye out for them.

And the owner got more than ‘chastised’ by the young man. If he had of POLIETLY said “your dog should be on a leash” I wouldn’t have gotten my panties in a bunch, but he was beyond vulgar to the dog owner (something along the lines of “Keep your fuckin dog on a leash you stupid fuckin bitch”). It was THEN I spoke up telling him what he said, and how he it said was uncalled for, and the he turned on me, yelling and cursing at me.

  18. I just noticed this got posted today…

This clusterfuck happened yesterday (March 9) at about 3:45 PM

  19. Sorry Mind Snap I have to continue this hi jack

zZz…. you would be an awesome moderator!

    I sign that petition!

  20. So the woman with the unleashed dog bears no responsibility? Yeah right. If it was on a leash and controlled nothing would have happened. Second, the word “kick”. Now did the guy do a football kick or use his foot to push the overgrown rat away?

  21. “”Not to mention, I haven’t noticed ANY signs about it being a law to keep a dog on a leash at the Dartmouth Ferry Terminal, but I’ll keep my eye out for them.””

    I’ll save you the trouble – http://www.halifax.ca/animalcontrol/Runnin…

Although this guy sounds worse every time you tell it, lol, perhaps he was startled, or even frightened by the off-leash canine. People sometimes react angrily seconds after being scared, as their fear turns to embarrasment and then anger…

Or, he could just be a rude prick…either way, he has the right not to have a close encounter with your running amok canine…

Dog-owners are their own worst enemy…and off-leash dogs in public will, eventually, lead to muzzle laws and breed bans…

  22. sorry to interrupt and apologies to zZz but miles already was elected. where ya be mr. miles

  23. Oh, and if anyone’s lookin for a chuckle…
The reason I posted this as “You’re not so hard” is because that’s what I said to the guy after he stormed off when I tried to provoke him into slapping me like he threatened…

Ya, I was lookin for a scrape at that point, and I was wonderin how HE’D like being kicked around

  24. late for his first day…. sounds like a good pick.
    }:-|
It’s at this point I deem him unfit for command and require he step down.
I, as second in command, will take his place.

    there, glad that’s all settled.

  25. Any of the posters in this thread becoming a mod makes about as much sense as a special ed student becoming the principal.

Socially under-developed adults are generally not considered good leaders. lol

  26. I thought that was what was implied by inmates running the asylum…
and you realize you’ve included yourself in the list there j-sizzle style.

  27. So.. Is it just me that thinks Jstyles is the Mod?
Both started around the same time and are both knobs about posts.

  28. Was it a good dog like a Golden Retriever, etc….or one of those nasty, yippy mutt things?

  29. balls, I think you’re right…
posts deleted pre j-sizzle showing up = 0
posts deleted post j-suckahose showing up >= 3

Tim and Andy were WAY more in tune with what this is about.
