For the past six months we’ve been renovating our house in the west end of Halifax. Because I am far too cheap to hire a company to haul away my refuse and I don’t have a truck, I bag up all my plaster, tiles, wood and construction debris in construction garbage bags. I sheepishly put them out to the curb, most often then not a couple bags over the six-bag limit. When I get home from work, to my surprise they’re gone. The garbage guys could leave the extra bags behind and slap a sticker on them or leave behind the odd large piece of trash I leave but they don’t! That is so awesome. They works their asses off in all kinds of crap weather and have to lift heavy garbage all day but yet always have a smile and a wave. You guys are awesome! oOn’t worry friendly garbage man, our renovations are almost done and we will then be back to our one bag every two weeks. Garbage collectors in Halifax rock! Thanks for putting up with my trash! —DIY Guy
