I just found this out. For the last two years, there was a big pow wow held on the commons, and I thoroughly enjoyed it!
I am aboriginal, and I really enjoyed meeting other Native people from different parts of the globe!

after last year’s scandal, it seems they’re afraid to put anything on the commons this year.

What scandal are you referring to? Does it have to do with the Aboriginal society?

I was just referring to the concert scandal… and how funding for anything on the commons/garrison is under such close scrutiny…

And I agree, OP. the PowEow was a pretty cool event to have right downtown. Hopefully it will come back next year. I would go again. The drum circle was amazing.
