Anyone notice how tiny cereal boxes are getting lately- with price remaining fixed or going up? Why don’t the grocery stores/ceral makers just own up to the fact that there is something serious going on…..it is called rationing..

Those tiny boxes contain cereal for adults, not the sugar coated sugar puffs you were used to eating as a kid. As you get bigger, your cereal box gets smaller. You’re a big boy now, it’s time to eat big-boy cereal.
that’s very astute of you…..the the bigger a person gets the less they need to consume….Yuppee Cereal anyone…..betcha you’re an achiever and drive a f*cking SUV…..not everyone can afford to eat higher quality foods these days….
Yum cereals. The smaller boxes have better quality and healthier product. If you want a big box, go for Rice Krispies or Sugar Crisp.
read the contents volume on the box you idiot. Y’know, back in the old days before shipping cost so much due to oil prices everything was bigger. Detergent for instance. They used to add a lot of filler to it because the Beave’s mom couldn’t believe that such a small amount could get those cum stains out of the Beave’s PJ’s. Nowadays we have ‘concentrate’ detergent, same great product, no filler, and still gets the wet dreams out of the Beave’s PJ’s just as well, but costs more.
I don’t understand how they are lying to you. Small box of cereal, $6.99, ingredients listed on the side of the box along with the amount of cereal.
What lies? This is the truth. Am I missing something?
ah doon’t noo whae yer on aboot laddae… me oots are a heege bag noot some winky wee boax.
I suppose the OB prefers half filled huge boxes.
more expensive half-filled boxes no less, since they need more trucks to ship since they can’t fit the same quantity due to all that good nitrogen he wants.
same with chips… man those bags got awful small.
No, it’s called let’s get more money out of the consumer. The sizes of all food has gone down lately from peas to cereal.
I remember a time when “smacks” were called “sugar smacks”!
And yeah, OP’s right — the boxes HAVE gotten smaller, but it’s not about rationing, you moron, it’s about offering less product to earn more profits.
Basic marketing principle.
aaah the days of captain crunch, alphabets, honeycomb…the milk left over was like a thick syrup, now the have reese’s pieces cereal i like calvin’s chocolate frosted sugar bombs…seriously eat oatmeal
Personally, I (STILL!) can’t get enough of that Sugar Crisp, Sugar Crisp, Sugar Crisp.
HKM, where are your musical notes when I need them? They’re GRRRRREEEEEEEEAAATTT!
mmmm, me and the captain make it happen.
I’m fucking starving right now and you bring up all this delicious talk of processed sugar…
you bastard!
I think this happens with a lot of things. All companies care about is making money and more money, so of course they are going to give you less for your money. Why wouldn’t they? What’s stopping them?
Here’s a good example of this:
