Employers, it’s common courtesy to advise all candidates you’ve interviewed when you chose someone else for the job. Especially after they’ve followed up. It’s simple, and no one is left hanging. —Me

  1. I’ve only ever been contacted by employers when the job was mine.

Not being contacted at all is a pretty good indicator that you did not get the spot.

FYI: This is pretty standard business practice. They don’t have time to contact the multitude of applicants who were not chosen.

  2. The key here is the word “interviewed”. This has happened to me twice recently after the 2nd interview. Its extremely unprofessional and downright rude. But hey it is Halifax, its not like there is a shortage of labour….

  3. Those who were short listed and went through the interview process should be notified of the employer’s decision.
