Thank you for your irrational display of anger fueled road rage you performed this morning at 7:50am in your company van. I’m sure your company would love to have seen it too. It made my friend and I laugh so hard. Thanfully I was able to point out to you and your wife twice with my first finger from inside my Saab that you have a YIELD sign, which means I have the right of way, so I didn’t feel the least bit guilty when I blocked your ugly Dodge Caravan as you tried to force your way in front my my car. I was so hoping you’d hit my car just for the joy it would bring knowing you’d have been the one at fault so I could laugh some more in your face. I hope you enjoyed waiting behind me at the red light. The way you sped away only made us laughe harder knowing we made your day and raised your blood pressure. Enjoy your anger. See you next time at the YIELD sign. 🙂

You are probably one of those douche bags that sits in the left lane while people who have places to go have to wait behind you.
What joy can it bring you to raise another persons blood pressure?
Why do you take take take and not give. If someone would like to merge, you should let them in.
PLEASE BE NICE TO PEOPLE AND COURTEOUS.
you would appreciate it if people did the same to you.
You don’t have the right to block people, you are not the police, you are a leach on society.
well I don’t think yield is ambiguous in normal traffic…
but when it’s standstill, does the person have to yield to the endless string of cars? or is it more of a merge situation?
ala oxford and south at rush hour…
“this morning at 7:50 am”
am indicates morning, don’t need to say it twice.
It means Yield not surrender!
Sorry, I’m with the OP on this one. Why do people trying to merge, cross at a two way intersection, or enter any road way feel that they have the right of way around here? Wait your turn!
Interesting that he mentions his “superior” vehicle, aren’t these the ones that GM have baled on? SAAB stands for SuckAssAutomoBile.
A 4 wheel snob?
Yield and merge are 2 different things. Yield signs mean the driver has to wait until there’s no traffic coming.
My thoughts exactly Basil Fawlty…
OP your constant references to the make of your car vs his makes you seem like a pretentious prick… Also, sounds like he made your day too, your the one whining about it on a web board…
oooooooooooooooooooooooooohhhhh, SAAB! SO luxurious! mmmmmmmm saab, I love the way it feels and sounds when I say it…. saab, saAB, SAAB!!!
“If not for you”: what do you mean by people who “sit in the left lane”? Are you seriously suggesting you routinely see people occupy the left lane and just stop? I haven’t *ever* seen people do that, not unless they are looking to turn left and can’t go yet. Or is _that_ the problem? Those ingrates…actually thinking they have the right to use the left lane for the intended purpose, thereby blocking all those VIPs who absolutely have to pass a dozen cars and cut in at the last possible moment.
Here’s a clue: 9 times out of 10 a driver merging in at the last moment was aware hundreds of metres back that they were in the wrong lane. In fact, they were purposely in the wrong lane so they could jump a dozen cars. If I find you beside me trying to merge, look confused and desperate – you might be the 1 person out of 10 who’s actually clueless, and I’ll let you in because I’d rather you’re ahead of me than behind me. Otherwise, if you look like you know what you’re doing, kiss my ass.
I just love the 2-lane crossovers people do by Penhorn, going toward halifax. I’m in the right lane going straight, while the lefties come flying up and start their strobe-sideswiping attempts at merging through to the other side(highway exit).
Love them so much I’m practically mindmelding with them as we accelerate and brake at all the same times, mirrored expressions, reflecting each others wide-eyed confusion…
Good times on the way to work.
Errr, Realist and Hunger, I 100% agree with you when it comes to city streets, but the point of this bitch was our 100 series highways where you need to stay in the right lane except to pass.
Just to go back to the original bitch for a minute:-
I’d hope that the Op would have let the other driver ‘merge’ in if only he hadn’t been trying to force his way in, but somehow I don’t think so.
As for Saab (the car not the aircraft), I’ve always thought that a Saab reminded me of a porcupine, except that the pricks are on the inside!
buy a little shitbox car,and that’t what you have to put up with.can you imagine if you were driving your smart car,and i pulled up to the sign in a big rig.well bud,you wouldn’t like what would happen to you,if you tried that shit on me.your little fucky car, would be ready for the recycler before you knew what happened.chill the fuck out,and buy a car, that is not a fucking dinky toy.
That’s it, I’m taking the plate-less ’72 Chrysler Imperial out for a spin, and ima gonna collect me a boatload of asshole drivers in their shitboxes. But, the OP is right, give right of way is not the same as merge, no matter what the speed is.
so you have quite a few dollars to spend on a car; do you go to a foreign dealer and go what’s the ugliest car you have; and he’s all Saab; and you say sold is that it:)
