Thanks for moving the #2 and #4 bus stop on Duke Street further up that giant fucking hill. Thanks for moving it further away from EVERY SINGLE connecting bus, and thanks for moving it further away from the doors to Scotia Square mall, the only warm place to stand and wait in the middle of winter.

Jerks.

  1. If you lived and worked on the Halifax Peninsula you could probably be forgiven for thinking that Halifax has the best public transit system ,for a city it’s size, in the country. For those not served by Route # 1, Metro transit sucks the gerbils out of a dead choreographer’s bum.
    Just sayin.

  2. I’m sure, after having read this the ‘route analysts’ are laughing at the inconvenience they have caused you… cackling all the while.
ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha

    what to do next?!?!?
I know, make all the busdrivers… drive permanently in REVERSE!
now they’ll have to step on the street to get in and out of the bus!
ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha

    what next?!?!?!!?
replace the heaters with …. air conditioners!
ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha

    hmmmm……
place random fruit on every bus in the corners so that when it dislodges and starts to roll around, the driver can belittle everyone because he doesn’t know who smuggled them on!
    Confrontation!
Bwa ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha

yes, it’s all a conspiracy against you.

  3. jesus christ, is the nut house having an open door policy now? you peope please give it the fuck up. we ALL know transit sucks. why do you think you are alone? bet you never thought to read this paper before, did you. if you did, you would see that many other idiots have posted bitches on here, about it. i expect you will get a whole shitload of flack on this one, whoever you are, from the rest of the readers and posters here? good fucking luck with any sympathy fool.

  4. Lemmiwinks, Lemmiwinks,
A long cold journey lies ahead.
    You must leave downtown Halifax
or soon you shall be dead.
    To get to Dartmouth Crossing
for a movie or to work.
    Whoever planned these bus routes
    is a motherfucking jerk.

  5. Walk down to Lower Water then. But that would involve more walking. Oh no, you actually have for fucking walk somewhere. Take it as a opportunity to get a bit of exercise.

  6. If that’s true, what the fuck? What was the point of moving the bus stop that was in front of an important Mall and just around the corner from the busy Barrington stop? Bullllllllshit.

And who the fuck wants to walk down to Lower Water Street, TOWARDS where the wind blows off the harbour in the winter time I might add?

But anyhoo, continue bitching about the bus bitches because that will put an end to them for sure!

  7. or if you had a brain, you could walk around the corner, catch it on barrington, and have a couple extra minte ride. ivan, love the limmiwinks poem.

  8. I don’t recommend taking the 2/4/6 on Barrington as they don’t always come back as what they go down as, if they come back at all.

The stop is not that much farther up the hill, and because we’re not fighting parked cars all day (why they moved the stop in the first place), the bus can actually “pull in” to the stop.

  9. Fuck you can get to lower water without having to walk down the hill !!! Use the pedway – and then a short walk straight up . Must be from new brunswick .

  10. Yep, moving the bus stop up the hill is pretty annoying when it’s freezing/windy/raining or I’m late. I generally find heading down to Lower Water is the best situation, especially as then I can get on the bus while the driver’s still having his/her break.

  11. Oh quit yer fuckin’ bitchin’. What’s wrong with a little extra exercise ? And if you wear proper winter attire, then standing outside isn’t a problem. Really, you’re just a lazy jackass.

As an everyday bus-commuter, I’m going to start defending MT. I’ve never had issues. And I take one of the most notorious routes in the city for being late. Yet – it’s never more than 5 minutes late. And, I still don’t miss my connecting bus.

  12. Thanks Lifer. The episode was on last night and I had the tune going through my head. Best I could do on short notice. And you do have a very valid point about the endless MT buttslammin’. Even though I’m an offender, it gets real old real quick. Keep on keepin’ us pertinent. Hey, how about that harbour smell…
