Why is it whenever I install a new piece of software, I’m inundated with requests to add some ridiculous toolbar? Honestly, your toolbar doesn’t do anything my search box already doesn’t do. The worst part of it all is that the check box is hidden in the most innocuous of places, like in between “make a desktop icon” and “pin to start menu”.
Look, I know you get money from the company if you get people to add these dumb ass search tools that essentially are a form of spyware. Fuck off already. I paid to get a legit copy of your software, I don’t owe you any more than that. I’m not making you and a specific search engine (starts with a Y) more money that you deserve. I’d download free software, but that’s just as bad; but at least you’d expect it from them.

That’s what you get with windows, sucker.
Yea really – goes to show how close the OP looks at what they install . Yep uncheck the box !!!
the fucking google toolbar is the worst offender here.i hate fucking google and everythng that goes with it.everytime someone says google this or that,i just tell them to fucking google my ass.i have all kinds of people getting that gmail shit and woe and behold, they get viruses everytime they open an email there.even though they have virus software on their unit.i have proved many time over, that if you you put this shitty anti virus crap on your machine, you will wave a red flag in front of some asshole.and yes, they will try and send you a virus, just to let you know your machine is not safe.i have gone virus free for almost 10 years, same machine,no virus software on it.bullshit software makers suck you in with free scans, they download one to you, just to show you that their software shoulfd be bought.don’t fucking do it.i download from about 25 different sites, and still have no viruses to date.think on it.
meh…. annoying, yes….
not the end of the world though. you can always say yes and then control panel -> add or remove programs to get rid of it.
I’d be more concerned with if you can take a system crash and what would you do to recover.
those are more important questions than a search toolbar install.
