Kids these days are disrespectful MORONS!! What is is with them?? They assault, rob, shoot, stab, harrass and disrespect people and never have to do anything because of it??

No wonder there are so many of them at it. If some teenager commits an adult crime that takes planning such as the above mentioned crimes, then their names should be realeased to the media just like an adult criminal and they should be punished accordingly. This is getting out of hand and is totally ridiculous!!! So maybe there are a few kids out there that get implicated because of stupid friends and are really not to blame, and this is what the “slack ass” rules were for, not every stupid disrespectful dumb ass teenager that can access a knife or a gun…..

Something really needs to be done about this….The gov’t is all worried about helmet laws while these kids are pretty much learning ways to get away with anything they want…..

—put the bastards in jail for a few days….

  1. I agree. The fact that kids CANNOT be properly disciplined anymore leads to their “no fear” attitude. Parents are afraid to spank/discipline their children these days. Allowing children to get away with things at home encourages their behavior as a teen/adult

  2. Kids are demons these days. The days of spanking are over, and the days of child anarchy are here. 🙁

  3. Then there are the ‘parents’ who really do not give two flying fucks about what their children are doing or even better yet the ones who encourage their children to be nasty little pieces of work.

  4. Adults can be just as rude and disrespectful and aggressive. Just look at some of the bitches posted here. With adults behaving the way they do, it’s no wonder where kids learn their behaviour. Our inability to punish kids accordingly is not the real problem…it’s our inability to parent them (individually or as a society) that needs to change.

  5. I say we throw out the stupid “Youth Criminal Justice Act” and toss these little bastards in jail. They KNOW exactly what it is they are doing and they do it because they know they can get away with it. Fuck ’em! Let them learn their lessons the hard way. To hell with this bleeding heart liberl approach of holding their hands, stroking their hair and telling them they’re “not bad”. Bullshit! These little fuckers need a literal and figurative kick in the ass (or head). Show them that there are consequnces to their actions and make them ay for it. Without changing the system, it’s only going to get worse.

  6. NW: Although the YCJA needs to be modified, being better able to punish crimes isn’t going to prevent further crimes. This isn’t about a few bad apples, it’s about an entire culture of disrespect, entitlement and lack of empathy among youth (and even adults) these days. I have several friends in the education system who all say the same things and it’s the fault of the administrators who keep taking away the ability of teachers to discipline kids. Kids spend a good chunk of their days during their formative years in the classroom. What better venue to teach kids about how to act in a society then the classroom where they can learn about rules, deadlines, consequences, teamwork, etc, etc, ? Violent crime is only one manifestation of a greater problem among youth.

  7. pffft.

and even more ipods stolen yesterday….
    geeez.

I bet they don’t even teach the golden rule anymore in class.
That was my first day of grade two (and I think it was late at that)…

    little fuckers.

  8. Youth crime is bad yes…but what we need to fix is the fact that Murderers (young and old) generally serve a maximum of 7 years for their crime here in Canada. That is an absolute disservice to the victims and their families. It is a failure by our Government to fullfill it’s mandate as laid out in the Constitution of Canada. Of course we could never argue this with the Government…Harper would just perougue the House and go on vacation again.

  9. Miles: It is the job of the schools to educate our youth, yes. But it should not be their job to teach kids about “rules, deadlines, consequences, teamwork, etc, etc”. That is the job of the parents. Far, far too many parents these days see the school system as babysitters and think it’s the school’s job to teach their kids everything. I know this will sound like an extreme, but we should seriously consider implementing rules like China has. You need a license to drive, to own a gun, to get married. You should need one to procreate. Too many people are being allowed to raise children that really shouldn’t be.

  10. Actually NW…I think it is the job of BOTH the parents and the schools to TEACH the youth about rules, deadlines, consequences and teamwork. If we don’t have a comprehensive and united front on these issues…the kids will not have these principles as concretely impressed upon them.

I agree with the baby license completely though…there are some shockingly negligent parents out there.

  11. I guess where I’m coming from NW is that if kids are not getting parented properly at home, the school provides a good opportunity to pick up the slack. Instead, teachers are having an increasingly hard time teaching any kind of life skills in classrooms because they are going to be undermined by either the parents or the administration. For example, deadlines don’t really mean anything any more. Teachers can’t take points off of or refuse to accept late assignments. One teacher friend of mine was complaining because they set a day of class aside for oral presentations. Only half of the kids showed up prepared and the teacher was not only left to ad lib half a day of class, but also forced to take time from their class over the semester as the stragglers slowly decided to complete their oral presentation assignments….with no penalty for tardiness.

I totally disagree with baby licenses though. I don’t think the government has a right to control my reproductive rights. I’d rather see the government clean up the education system and allow them to share the responsibility of making sure our children are well adjusted.

  12. DER?: Again I disagree. I think it is the job of the parents to teach the principles of rules, deadlines, consequences and teamwork. It is the schools job to put these principles into practical use and enforce them, in the learning environment.

Miles: While I agree that the current incarnation of the system doesn’t always work, there are some areas that it really isn’t the job of the education system to take over. Why should the teacher have to make sure that the students get their work done on time? Without the students being accountable for their actions (such as not doing assignments) they will never learn about consequences. If the parents don’t teach these principles to their kids, then the kids can learn about them the hard way. Fail the kid and let them try again. A lesson learned the hard way is a lesson that won’t be forgotten. As for your argument on your “right” to procreate, how is it any more (or less) of a right than driving, getting married, owning a gun, flying a plane? All of which require a license.

Kirbul: Damn straight! I got a smack on the arse for getting out of line when I was a kid and I turned out pretty ok. Kids need to learn that there are physical consequences sometimes. I’m not talking about beating them, but a smack on the bottom now and then goes a LONG way. When the cops tell you to get on your knees, with your hands behind your head, they don’t give you a “time-out” for not doing so. They taser you into submission. It is a physical consequence for not doing as told.

  13. I’m not saying the education should take over those roles either but, like you said, they should be reinforced by the education system. Kids need consistency and the way things are now, some kids are getting the consistent message that there are no consequences for their actions. If teachers HAVE to accept late assignments what are our kids learning about personal responsibility?

As for reproductive rights, I think you will notice the distinction between needing a license to drive or fly a plane and a marriage license. The former examples require tests to ensure competency and prevent the endangerment of lives. Marriage licenses are used to ensure you are not already married to someone else and to make sure you are not marrying a relative. The state doesn’t really care if you get married or not (except for tax purposes), or whether you get divorced and remarried a number of times…marriage licenses are more of a ‘registration’ than a license. Reproductive rights are, in my opinion, as fundamental a right as mobility rights, rights to free speech, etc. It ensures the individual is free to make their own decisions about how they want to live their life. If you open the debate about who should breed and who cannot, you open the door to eugenics, elitism, racism etc.

The government already has systems in place to ensure children are not subjected to undue harm (child services, justice system, etc) so why not bolster these systems to increase their effectiveness? In addition, the government controls education so why not use that to maximum advantage to promote healthy socialization for youth? Also, an investment in community programs would also go a long way to help kids who have the misfortune of having shitty parents. How about government/community-run parenting programs? Parents are not the only influence in a child’s life…so let’s start making the ones we, as a community, control positive influences? Child licensing seems to be an unnecessary extreme.

  14. Miles: You make some good points and certainly have a sound argument, but there is a serious flaw in it. You refer to them as reproductive rights. What makes reproducing a right? With the way our society currently functions as a whole, driving, flying, hunting, marriage, they are all as much of a “right” as procreation is. You say that some of these things require a license to ensure competency and prevent the endangerment of lives, which is a farce. The vast majority of drivers out there are incompetent fools, who endanger lives on a daily basis, yet they have a license to drive. As for marriage licenses, again your argument is flawed. The idea of not being able to marry more than one person is a hand-me-down from our White Puritan founding fathers here in North America. It’s a ridiculous and outdated idea that is one of our last bastions of prejudice that is allowed to stand. I think the idea of a breeding license would definitely not open the doors to eugenics, elitism or racism as you say. The test would be to ensure that people are capable of caring for a child. There are many, many different forms of good parenting and no one person (or government branch) can determine which is the best. What I’m saying is that the current system that supposedly watches out for the welfare of these kids is failing. Miserably. We need to put in place a system that prevents children from ending up in these situations in the first place. If that means stopping certain people from breeding, so be it. While I agree that better social programs are needed, we have a lot of other, bigger problems to deal with first. Before we start up programs to better socialize kids, maybe we should make sure they all have 3 meals a day first. Instead of setting up after school programs where the kids get positive influence from sources other than their parents, maybe we should make sure that they all have clothes/school supplies/etc. And one of the ways to make sure these kind of things don’t happen in the first place is to prevent certain people from breeding.

  15. NW: My view of reproduction as a right is just that, my view. I’ll concede that there are arguments for and against considering reproduction a fundamental right, but I tend to view it this way based on my thoughts on the abortion debate. I don’t think the government should be telling people they have to have a baby and I don’t think they should be telling them they can’t.

I agree that many drivers are fools, but that only indicates that the testing is not rigorous enough…not that the need for testing and licensing is flawed. With respect to marriage, I would be inclined to argue that you shouldn’t need a license for that but would maintain that some form of registration is fair.

I argue the eugenics point because I was thinking about times in our history when we thought it was appropriate to sterilize mental patients and people with certain disabilities. I think those choices were unethical. Treating pregnancy as a crime is about the same infringement on human rights, in my mind, as forced sterilization. Also, a child bearing license would most likely end up victimizing women over men since they are the most likely to be caught violating the law. What are the provisions for women who find themselves raped and pregnant or the victims of a broken condom? Forced abortions or jail time? How would you enforce a child-licensing law? I think the systems we have in place provide a better platform for positive change than opening a child-licensing can of worms. It’s an interesting suggestion to contemplate, but I don’t see it as a practical or ethical solution.

Admittedly, China has a one-child policy which has been enforced with some success (ie declining birth rates and population control) but is met with serious criticism and has resulted in such things as infanticide, forced sterilization, unwanted abortions, eugenics, etc. In general, I don’t think we want to look to China for our social policy.

  16. NW: “It is the schools job to put these principles into practical use and enforce them, in the learning environment” I guess that is kinda what I had in mind…though I did not communicate that.

  17. what the hell you be talkin bou,do the time.since when does any fucking scuzzball do any fucking time in n.s.,unless it is for having cats,or fucking chickens.what a fucking joke this injustice system is.more crime everyday.but wait now folks, there’s a new group coming to town.the bacchus motor cycle club.with somee members on the tribe and angels in there too.i would rather see these dudes in hrm, then all the little wankers will run and hide,or call for their fucking mommy.just your aveage fucking day,in hrm, again.

  18. all this “politically correct bullshit” was invented to observe the rights and freedom of those around you.

The Canadian Bill of Rights grants “the right of the individual to life”. Reproduction is a part of “life” as much as eating, shitting or dying is. Policing some kind of “Fornication Under Consent of the King” would infringe on this fundamental right. Discrimination on several fronts is the result of anything different.

Never Wrong, if the “Youth Criminal Justice Act” were written to be stronger it would be more useful and Ashley Smith might be alive today getting the help and compassion she required to survive instead of the abuse and isolation our federal system provided her.

“put the bastards in jail for a few days….” and they come out better criminals with new “friends”, new “tricks” and less fear and willingness to comply than ever. There’s a better way.

I say hold parents responsible for their children AND their mishaps. Create a whole new insurance industry. The badder your kid, the higher the premium. Administer the whole thing under a federal program (tie it into provincial health care?) seeing each child’s parent is assigned a premium applied at the source (federal tax), which happens to also be connected with all the school systems and every other government service or justice office in the country… Make sure every child enrolled in school has their insurance number on file and viola, parents are made more responsible in seeking help for troubled children instead of unleashing them onto the school system. If parents should think twice before procreating and allowing their kids to become social deviants then letting them pay the high premiums or chance judgment without insurance just might do it. Most of us won’t drive an uninsured car. Things get expensive pretty fast… and so can a naughty boy left unattended with a can of spray paint.

  19. What needs to be done is simple – bring back the day !!! The day when you got caught being a punk ass – you got your ass beat by the neighborhood and then the cops and finally your dad . Because if your dad didn’t do it – the neighborhood would tan your dads ass too . Coddling my ass – people need to stop listening to anything and the political bullshit and just tan some ass . What?, some 16 year old punk wants to stick a knife in my direction and ask for my wallet ? Good luck – he’d be picking up his face and i’d be dragging his ass home to his parents . Fuck the law – there wasn’t one really back when – and kids mostly weren’t like that . Why – the fear of fucking god – thats why . Good ol beating – and if the p[arents don’t wanna – give that beating to them instead – see how fast the little fuckers wise up . They just aren’t scared – only reason . ” I’ll call the police and have you charged ” HA !! Back in the day – go ahead and call the police for getting that beating – they would just tan your ass for being a little asshole again . Fuckin pussies if you ask me – so is the general public for actually “LETTING” them be punks and not instilling the fear into them . Thats whats wrong !!! You think for a minute a copper that has to come pick up some dickhead 17 year old that just got whopped for pointing a gun at you, is going to feel sorry for the little fucker ( make sure you hand the gun to the cops too.) . I think not – try it – grow some balls and take over what people outta have been doing years ago , instead of fuckin whining .

  20. Society slowly got itself into this mess, and society will take its sweet time to get it back out.

  21. Exactaly bon – same goes for them to – but its even better with an adult – because its less hassle kicking the ass off an adult .

  22. If you want your kids to learn really affective coping skills for, you know, REALITY, listen to the hog here and BEAT THEM when the adult doesn’t get their way. Such fascinating wisdom! *GAG*Idiot.

  23. OMG kids are crazy and running ramped!!!
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YwrrikNeFZg

Some of these comments are rediculous… Most kids are not bad. In my opinion more adults get away with crimes, such as… the former president of the united states, people abusing detainees in afghanistan and Richard Nixon!

  24. kay, don’t mind hog…. he never lived “back in the day” so he really don’t know how it was back then… save for what movies tell him. Needless to say they aren’t that accurate.

    At least I HOPE not.
hog, if you’re a day over 18 then please seek help.

because – you can’t – expressive type.an thought ,-to .save your “life”,

  25. haha i’ll give you a hint – 66 is my birth year .And i’m not saying beat kids – I’m saying one wants to pull a knife and gun and beat on you for your wallet – give em the same they’d give you .I raised a couple “rugrats” and they wouldn’t think of doing shit to people .You have to read properly to get the point instread of just stating the obvious – that i don’t care how i type in a forum board . I might do better if i was getting marks for it .

  26. because – you can’t – expressive type.an thought ,-to .save your “life”,

Hey ZZZ you might want to brush up on your skills before you knock others .
    Nice english dude !!!

  27. wow, you’re a sharp one…
I suppose mockery is lost on 43 year olds….

I’m not on kay’s side (as you may know if you’ve read some of my past posts…)
I’m sick of trying to figure out what the hell your drunken ramblings and run-on sentences mean… with punctuation peppered all over the god damn place.
You’ve taken the title for “bitcher with least skill for expression” from Life Sucks.

If you’re going to bother to post 8000 times a day (and three-peat the same thread) then please spend a couple minutes tidying up what the hell you’re trying to say….
put it in word, get rid of all the red/green zig-zag underlines of error… and copy-paste so we can all follow along your crazy shenanigans.

I realize I may have led you astray by mentioning zig-zag… so please re-read just for comfort.

  28. I don’t think there are necessarily more bad kids, they just seem to be taking on worse crimes. And in a lot of cases, it’s kids against kids – 16 and 17 years olds beating up on kids their own age or younger. While I don’t think putting the bastards in jail is necessarily the answer, how many times have we seen kids put back into the custody of their parents who obviously can’t control them?

  29. I particularly don’t really care – I get a kick outta this board . And sometimes like to see peoples thoughts on things . But zzz glad to hear your not on Kays side . Makes it easier to take the mockery with a grain of salt . Of which i still don’t care . So ZZZ if your so into english and its proper prose – why don’t you read and post on SMU’s english board then . And make sure you atleast – ( you last post was ok ) do what your asking – proper english . I really could’t get the last sentence of your second last post – it was a engish mess.

  30. it was representing half of the useless garbage you usually post.. hence mockery.

I don’t need strict english prose, but SOME form of coherency would be nice.
Seriously, I type better hammered drunk squinting out of one eye to try to focus on teh screen…. and I know you’ve been there. you know what I’m talking about.
split some paragraphs once in a while to tie thoughts together and space them apart.

I know you’re not going to do any of this and it’s feudal to even bother typing this…
but you WILL give yourself more credibility if you do.
that’s all I will say about that.

I also realize that it was nice when we weren’t mentioning kay and she fucked right off…
of course, as expected, Dino wasn’t saying too much either.
I guess I could live without Dino if it meant Kay exile… though I wouldn’t want it.

  31. Good on ya ZZZ really – awesome !!! But what you really means is ” Only my point counts ” And by the way I’m just making my own points , not worried about credibilty . Again ZZZ it’s a bitch board , not a fuckin political election board or english board where credibility is needed . Does that stick in your ass hurt much ?

  32. Strange that so many people here are citing a biblical quote: Spare the rod and spoil the child.

If crime has increased, why do we assume that it is the now accepted norm of NOT beating our children that is the problem? It could just as easily be the fact that no one is home to raise the children. Our children spend most of their time being raised by an assortment of people (daycare, school and after school programs)–at least until they are old enough to be trusted to take care of themselves (latchkey kids).

Discipline does not have to be physical, but it does have to have someone there to teach or enforce it. And, it must be amply balanced with care. Excessive discipline breeds resentment. Anger, fear and resentment often cause character flaws or weaknesses to develop.

  33. never did I say that… though I’m sure your point would count if I could decipher what the hell you’re trying to say half the time.

omg – kay bash – (this apparently needs parenthasis), because I like to start sentences with little, letters and throw – comma’s in wherever – I damn well please. U can’T help it, if – you’re a fuckTaRd who can’t spell worth a , damn and appears . to be a 43 YEAR old Toddler on Mama’s . Keyboard,

  34. PS. can’t take it that someone else other than Kay has a serious fucking flaw and that you can’t take the constructive criticism.
bitch all you like… you still look like a tool when you post IMO.

  35. “Top Commentors” only means they have the most number of posts…not that Kay actually has anything truly qualitative to say, she just spews a large quantity of her particular brand of feces.

  36. I don’;t actually think that’s how it’s counted. I was listed at the top a while back and checked total posts… I was about 1000 behind kay but she hadn’t posted much recently.
I think it takes like a weekly or monthly average or something to list out who posts most often and not total quantity.
again, still speculative until I can get a peek at the source code.

  37. well I took a week off recently and was still listed as third… not that I want to be top commenter… I’m just taking advantage of the slow work season since most people have been off for a month.
Well that and I like to bitch. lurking for 3 years was nowhere near as fun as getting my feet wet and diving in to the pool of sewage infested shit we call the bitch board.

  38. Actually I think I have seen it change several times a day, especially when one poster is on the way down the ladder as another moves up. I figure it accounts for both volume of recent activity and total posts.

  39. It’s not just the stuff we have to wade through, it’s Kay’s last comment before her (our) little vacation:
“YOU SUCK. You win. You SHEEP are going to get just what you asked for. Let’s play puppet you fucking ASSHOLES.”
    I wonder…

  40. she’ll just adopt another moniker so that we won’t know it’s her and tame it down a bit so as not to be ousted… not quite like Ginger in the past…
I give Kay a little more credibility than that.

She’s WAY tamer than she used to be anyways…. a half year ago I couldn’t stop raggin on her.. lately (granted Fat and Hog have taken a liking to cussing her out) I haven’t had much beef.

She occasionally DOES have a decent point.
    Some times…
    once in a while….
    kinda

  41. The problem with having a license to have children is that it would require being able to decide who is a good parent and who isn’t Who are we going to put in charge of that? Because those people opinions would then decide who was a good parent or not.

Miles, its actually true that there are no penalties for late assignments anymore? That just seems crazy. Those kids are going to be completely screwed if they manage to get to university because the deadlines certainly exist there, and after 5 late days of losing 20% they are going to be out of luck.

It’s overall a big problem because no one want to take responsibility of raising children anymore. The parents expect the schools to do it, and at the same time they don’t want to give them any real power. The schools don’t have the power or the funding, so they put the responsibility back on the parents. The community are basically scared of the little brats, so they’re not going to try. So the kids get away with everything.

  42. PAS…as it was explained to me yes. The official wording is something like “the teacher has to accept a late assignment that is handed in within a reasonable time of the deadline”. In practical terms, when faced with parents who don’t think their kid can do any wrong, that translates into “teacher has to accept a late assignment at any time until the final grades go in.”

  43. hey now peoples, let be nice here for awhile. yeah, i type the way i do, because i can, and that’s all that matters to me.you want grammer and good english, then go to a fucking school, and you will see it isn’t there either. don’t know what the little bastards are getting from it, but it sure isn’t an education. martm, top commenter, i don’t think so, nice but no cigar. i have things to do myself, and take very little time to bother with smell check either, so don’t even bother to mention it.

  44. WeedHog: That comment was totally uncalled for and unnecessary. There is no need to resort to insults/attacks on a posters family members. If you can’t make a vaild point or argument, don’t start throwing “your mom” type insults around. We get enough bullshit from certain other posters around here. You seem like an intelligent guy and make some good points sometimes. However, zZz does have a point. It can be very difficult to read some of your posts sometimes because they are all over the place. You’re right that this is not an english classroom, but your points will be taken more seriously if you put them into at least somewhat proper context.

  45. Sure never wrong I agree. But you missed his post about using my “mom’s” keyboard . Whats good for the goose is good for the gander. Anyways ,I reiterate my point this is a bitch board , not english class. Little ZZZ likes to toss his comments – so I toss mine . Fairs fair if you ask me . Doesn’t make him any better then a person that mispells a word. Maybe ,never wrong – direct your comments towards ZZZ as well as me
