To the assholes who decided it’s appropriate to have construction continue all night long on the Fairview Overpass,

Thanks for the great decision. There’s nothing like the sound of jackhammers at 2AM (and 3AM and 4AM…) to really lull a person to sleep. I know that apparently you’re behind schedule because of some screw-up with the railway but punishing residents of the area for it is really not cool. My fondest hope for you is that, wherever you lay your head at night, you are soothed with the sounds of multiple car alarms, crying babies and barking dogs… non-stop, all night long.

  1. check with by law and i think you will find them reportable under noise/construction time restrictions

  2. a lot of construction in european countries are done at night.take a second to think this through here.wouldn’t it make more sense to do this in the early hours, than say at 9 a.m., or 4 p.m., in the day time rush hours.there is not much traffic on the weekends anyway, any can divert somewhere else. i live not that far from there and hve heard next to nothing, and trust me, i’m a very light sleeper.

  3. yea your right since it’s a municipality project i quess they do get the noise exemption go figure if i start up my tools before 7 am or after 10 pm I’m getting a ticket should someone complain

  4. It’s gotta come down sometime, and doing it during the night/weekend just makes sense to me. Earplugs aren’t that expensive OP, I’d suggest using them or getting used to the noise. I used to live next to active train tracks and the 2am train sure loved to brake. I got used to it, and so can you.

  5. Fuck people like to complain. When roads are shitty someone always complains that they are crap and need to be fixed. When the construction starts people complain about traffic tie-ups. Then they say why can’t construction be done at night? And now we have road work being at night and some fuckwad is complaining that it is noisy.

Tell us this princess (OP), do you also complain about the other scenarios above? If so, why don’t you tell us what your magical solution is?

  6. try living downtown… where it’s fucking noisy every thursday-sunday at any hour for 8 months a year!
get some fucking ear plugs and enjoy a nice rest you cranky biotch.
