That’s how my stepfather used to punished us for stealing. He’d pour gas on our hands and light it on fire. As soon as we grabbed our hands back the fire went out before it did any damage. Actually, he had many inventive ways to punish. No wonder we hated his guts. No wonder, I think that corporal punishment is wrong.

Well…I don’t really know HKM…but as long as she isn’t dousing HER kids with gas and lighting them on fire, then yes, I am glad she turned out the way she did.
I’m not really clear where you were going with this. Are you implying that the child victims of adult abuse (generalization of HKM’s example) are just being passive? Or are you specifically accusing HKM of being passive and playing victim?
