Thank you big atlantic grocery store for finally bringing in frozen pyrogies to warm the heart and tummy of a former Edmontonian.
And the BEST BRAND too! AND in the giant muti-pack! (I was making do with the no-name, but this is the BEST!)
Boil ’em up first, then fry in a little butter and olive oil, spoon up some sour cream and sprinkle some chives (and my personal touch, a dab of worcestershire sauce for a bit more flavour) and mmmmmmmmmmm a perfect stick-to-your-ribs Saturday afternoon lunch.
And thank you all the nice Ukranian ladies over there at 124th Avenue who I am sure personally and lovingly hand-craft each and every one.
I’m all set for winter now. Bring on the 40-below!

I love pyrogies (perogies?) too and have been happy with the cheap frozen PC ones, but these sound devine. I want a name, please!
Cheemo!
Yup! Not only “Canada’s Official Toast” but I believe “Canada’s Official Pyrogy” too!
Good to know! Thank you.
I spelled ‘divine’ incorrectly. How embarassing.
Sobeys has always carried the “good ones” but they come in a box, not a bag anymore. Now if only I could find China Lily soya sauce……….
