Ok I know that we don’t have bike lanes in Halifax, but that doesn’t mean that you bikers shouldn’t obey the rules of the road. You had a stop sign and went through the 4 way stop when it was my right of way. You could have been hit…follow the same rules we all have to follow.

  1. Andy’s off for a few weeks, so you folks are stuck with me for a spell.

I really want to start some sort of bike tag– Bike Bitch? Lame-o Lycra? But Andy sorta overdid it on that front, so I dunno…

Anyways, FWIW, bicyclists should obey the laws of the road, as should cars. Yawn.

  2. Please, Tim. Please. I’m really tired of hearing about cyclists (both good and bad). Maybe the tags will deter such idiotic bitches.

  3. Just know that you all take all my time, so I won’t have much time for that ground-breaking investigative journalism thing.

    I’ll just wing it.

  4. Instead of a bike tag — how about a whole new page for bike bitches, “love the way we bitch about bikes”. Its ridiculous. They all say the exact same thing and seem to think that every single biker in the city is a selfish idiotic human being. Enough! We get it! Bitch about something interesting please.

  5. Let’s insert a little reality here: Not all cyclists are guilty of the same behaviour. Many of us know and follow the rules of the road. But like anything, a few bad apples spoil it all for the rest of us.

  6. Welcome back Tim, we’re sure you’ll do fine here. As for an orange tag idea, look no further than Queen. “I want to ride my bicycle, I want to ride it where I like”

What? It’s a fun little song.

  7. I know your pain… I was driving down Robie Street today and a girl was driving her bike across the road in the crosswalk… I honked my horn (actually, I laid on the horn) and she just pointed up at the crosswalk sign and kept driving… seriously! You’re not a freakin’ pedestrian.
