Fuck you and your updates and your “Spooler SubSystem App stopped working and was closed” error.

  1. Fuck you smApple and your auto update asking me to install your “french for Hello” software and your web browser every month, just because I need to have myTunes on my computer to load up the myPod. The first 632 times I said I don’t want to install your shitty browser and additional software should have been enough!

  2. No joke, a few weeks ago I smashed my HP laptop beyond repair because it hasn’t worked right since the day I bought it. It was incredibly satisfying, and I’ve since bought a new computer that is everything I’ve ever dreamed of

  3. BRoc, I run Dell servers. They’re gorgeous and the service is second to none.

Kitty, go ahead and install and database server or web server on your mac. These are apples and oranges despite what the mac vs pc commercials (and art students?) would have you believe.

  4. HP printer drivers are very poorly coded and notoriously bloated & buggy, especially for their all-in-one models.

Don’t buy HP printers (their high-end laser printers are ok tho). Epson and Lexmark are good alternatives for all-in-one printers.

  5. @NL’s greatest export – to disable the update notification for Bonjour, do the following:

    1. launch the Apple Software Update applet (wait for it to complete the update scan)

    2. select the Bonjour update (check the box next to Bonjour, but de-select what you DO want to update/install later)

    3. then, on the Tools menu, choose ‘Ignore Selected Updates’ (Bonjour should be the only component selected)

Bonjour will disappear (remain hidden in the future) from the list of updates, and you will not be prompted again to install it. you can also restore hidden updates, also from the Tools menu.

  6. HA miles… I needed that chuckle. thanks.

HP’s aren’t the worst by far… and if you take care of dell’s, they might not overheat on you.
    maybe.

But please people, don’t needlessly destroy your hardware! I’ll take the bad machine away….. and disassemble it piece by piece. you can have this piece of mind… just don’t break the bloody thing!

if it’s newer, I may even pay you for it.

this is the second case of computer homicide I’ve heard in a week.
I die a little inside every time.
