To people who post up these job wanted ads – I know it’s hard out there and you’re trying to “think outside the box.” But why do almost all of you have to use the worst photos of yourself possible? You’re either glowering at your webcam in a darkened room, looking like you’re just about to head out to the Do Me, or throwing up fake gang signs. Or some other dumb shit. Do yourself a favour and either look presentable in your photo or just don’t include one.

I would never hire someone off Kijiji.
Agreed Miles
I love white kids and their gang signs.
As if anyone would go on Kijiji to hire some one. Maybe POST a job being hired but not just search for random people. Only time this MIGHT work is if you get a creepy old man looking to hire a pretty young girl or guy for “special” duties… but then again maybe thats what most of these people want?
NGF.
You left out the yankees cap, bling, underwear pulled up to their nipples and pants pulled down to their ankles with a chip-on-the-shoulder what the fuck you lookin at attitude.
I love it when I read one where someone is “looking for office work” and there are 60 ads looking to hire someone for office type work…..how about you answer the ads instead of just posting one and hoping the job comes to you? There are lots of people out there looking for jobs….employers do not need to search for you. And you could also try spell and grammar check…..
Dumb Asses
Best one yet….. “Will do n-e-thing”
The best one I ever found was a girl looking to be an eyelash model. She went on to explain that she’s 14, but very mature for her age, “I don’t fool around with serious matters”.
Because employers have nothing better to do than read Kijiji job personals, riiiiiiight! Best advice is find another way to snag a job, or at least use an actual job site like Monster or Workopolis. Second best advice is to go with OP and put a respectable picture on your profile instead of something that’ll end up on Failblog.
Eyelash model? That’s a job?
People are clueless. I was paying my bill at a restaurant recently when a 20 something girl came in and asked to speak to the manager. She was distributing resumes and wanted to drop one at the restaurant.
The manager came out and spoke to her briefly and accepted the resume.
Throughout the entire encounter she kept her ridiculously huge Paris Hilton sunglasses on. Inside a dark Italian restaurant. Her outfit was just about as unprofessional.
Don’t people have any common sense? It wouldn’t occur to you to put on a professional outfit and take your shades off when talking to potential employers? And they wonder why they aren’t hired…..
Personally, I think those people are fucking morons.
They should follow this guy’s lead – at least it’s more entertaining!

HA! Best kijiji job seeker ad ever (from hfx too!):
“hey, im trying to find a job that pays cash, not cheques, as im on assistance and they deduct whatever i make during the school year off my check they give me. So, kinda counter productive.
I’m open to all sorts of jobs. Nothing wierd.”
At least his grammar is top-notch…
