My iPhone was stolen in May and three of your lovely employees tracked it down with the serial number, right to the man using it as I type up this Bitch. After nearly six months of back and forth with your customer care line, your loyalty line, your fraud department, and the police, I was told today that I will never get my phone back EVEN THOUGH you have all the contact information you’d ever need to get to this man. Now this makes me angry it’s true, but if never getting the phone back wasn’t enough, due to your overwhelming disorganization I have continued to pay my bill for the last six months without having the phone. Still though, I’ve got to say the most infuriating of all is that you refused to provide any compensation at all. I am a loyal customer. I have been with your company for many years and you owe several of your current customers to me thanks to the glowing report I give if anyone asks what I think of my mobile service provider. Well that was before. I’ve jumped through every hoop you’ve asked of me but to the readers, once you need anything beyond what the helpful and polite employees behind the counters can do, forget it. —So Pissed

  1. Is the bill for your services or for the service the thief is using? Could the provider not cancel this phone and you get another one? People lose phones all the time and I am sure they do not continue to pay the bill…….they get another phone and move ahead with their lives. Perhaps you should do the same. It’s a fucking phone not a life line.

  2. Who the fuck pays the bill after their phone is stolen? OB, you’re fucked. Those cell signals must have fried your brain. Just go out and buy a new iPhone. It’s probably your fault you lost the phone in the first place.

  3. Why didn’t you call the cops? A girl got her Iphone stolen at my school. The cops handled it, and using the phone’s gps, tracked it down to one of her classmates within a couple of hours.

  4. Seb and INFY, what tommyjules said. You’re not paying for the phone, you’re paying for the service. And that service is contracted for a set amount of time. So if i have a 3 year contract, i either have to pay a bill for three years or cancel the contract at an inflated penalty.

As i write this, i realize how fucked it is that there is nothing in place to protect victims of theft.

OP listen to me. Go to a pawn shop and find a phone for sale that is with your carrier. Then at least you have a phone you can use for now and you won’t waste the contract.

Then write the better business bureau. And then go to the papers. Seriously. Bad publicity might make the carrier man up a little.

  5. If you truly have a valid bitch, and you truly have the evidence to show who has the phone and who has been using the phone…………….then take the little prick to small claims court.

Alas, I think you aren’t providing full disclosure of this story. There are too many contradictions, too many things that don’t make sense, and don’t sound reasonable.

    good luck to you.

  6. OK, OK, so IK, this dude has his cell stolen and sold to a pawn shop and you think he should buy someone elses stolen cell phone to make up for it?
My company pays for my phone so I am not up to date on phone contracts, but you can bet, if my phone got stolen that my company would not be paying for some douchebag theif to call all over the world on my phones bill. Something is up here and OP needs to get aggesssive with his phone company and let them know whats up.

  7. The cell providers are the real culprits here. They profit from this. Why get someone their phone back when they can pay for a new one? That’s why it’s best to pay for the thing up front and not sign a yearly contract, it sucks but the alternative is worse, as OP can tell you.

I’d be steamed too. I hate when people tell me shit that makes no sense. “Yeah we tracked down the guy, we’ve got his name, address and everything” “great, so can I get my phone back?” “no” “WTF!?!”

I’d give the info to the cops OP, seems like your only option.

  8. First off, I’d pay the transfer fee and move the contract onto ANY phone. so atleast the theif isn’t using my account.

There are too many holes in this story. The OP may be the victim, but he’s either hiding some of the facts, or he’s the most stupid iphone user of all time.

  9. “The cell providers are the real culprits here. They profit from this. Why get someone their phone back when they can pay for a new one?”

Gee Thomas, I have a car that my exwife is driving. Do you think it is possible for me to force the car dealer( or the finance company) to get my car back?

  10. an apple a day, makes you stupid. don’t bother getting another piece of mac sht, get a fucking pay as you go job. that way, someone rips you off, they can only use it til time and money on it runs out. why the fuck do you people need these fucking stupid pieces of shit for anyway? just get a fucking phone for, oh i don’t know, maybe fucking calls.is your life that important, that you have to be pkugged into the net, every of your miserable fucking life. if that is so, then you really have no life, loser.

  11. If you go five minutes overdue with Roger Dodger the phone gets redirected to A/R. They couldn’t do that with butthole and redirect it to the police?

SUMTHIN doesn’t jive. That being said, anybody in this day and age who doesn’t treat these companies like the scum they are and fight deserve the assfucking they get. I have heard they are back to adding fees to your bill and just waiting until you notice.

  12. Anyone that is legally responsible for the bill would have executive control over the account. So stop feeding us this line of BS. if it was trully a stolen phone, you could transfer the phone number to a different phone, thereby disabling the phone that you are attempting to get back. Then you could use all this wonderful evidence that you claim to have, and bring the said thief to court and sue them for the value of the phone.
