So what is it with people who respond to your ad in Kijiji, set up a time to come pick up the item and then never show up? Are people really this rude? I’m sitting around and waiting… so how about just emailing me back to let me know you don’t want the damned thing anymore so I can feel free to sell it to someone else?

Yea I agree that’s a bummer. What I do now is post “first come, first serve”. and keep answering emails. If the first couple of ppl don’t show up, others will.
I do the same thing….it sucks when people show up and its gone but that is the reality of it.
This happened to my son and my son got emails from a guy wanting to buy the i-pod but he wanted our home number and our address including our apartment #. In the end my son sold the pod to a lady who met him on another street near us.
I agree too, that sucks. And happens quite often. I find also I get a lot of emails from people who say they are interested and then I say great when do you want to pick it up and then they’re never heard from again.
Been there, done that. As a frequent kijiji user, i find some people don’t answer their ads and don’t remove/change the ad if its sold. What also annoys me is the “please contact” for price or “make me an offer”. you make an offer and they shun you… if you have a price in mind, fucking list it!!!!!! I will avoid any ads that do not have a price listed
