I parked illegally today near Pete’s on Dresden today while doing the 5 min dash for some stuff for a work luncheon – standard excuse I know. When I came out an HRM cop was writing me a ticket. I always heard once the pen hits the paper that’s it, no take-backs so I made a snarky comment about him filling his quota for the month. He politely replied I was parked illegally (which I was). I asked impatiently how long it was going to take him to write up the ticket, again being a cow. He asked me how long it would take me to move the car. I said two seconds and he nicely said go. Surprised but not waiting for him to change his mind I hollered thanks and bolted.
