Holy shit! A sixteen year old that just got his driver’s licence, 199km in a 100km zone. I hope to hell you’re not back on the road anytime before you get an old age pension. I hope your parents are proud of you. Probably couldn’t smack the stupid out of you. —Happy Motorist

  1. Of course the central question here is what makes a thought or action “stupid?” In other words, what constitutes the concept of stupidity? What are the “necessary conditions,” each of which must be present severally but are not themselves sufficient, i.e. do not constitute a “sufficient condition” on the basis of which a thought or action MUST be considered stupid? When is the combination of necessary conditions sufficient to constitute a, um, sufficient condition? This, of course, is what makes this bitch philosophically interesting.

  2. WHAT IS INTELLIGENCE?

Conversely, what makes a thought or action “intelligent?” To speak of an “intelligent thought or action” presupposes prior possession of the concept of intelligence itself. So, what is that concept? There are those who claim that there is something called “social intelligence,” the ability to get along with others but I claim that intelligence must have a necessary intellectual component which rules out such “social intelligence.” There are others who claim that there is something called a “mathematical intelligence” or a “chess intelligence” but I claim that any general notion of intelligence cannot be restricted to any specific domain. So what is that general notion of intelligence?

That general notion of intelligence resides in the ability to make distinctions. Did you notice how I distinguished “social intelligence” from “mathematical intelligence” or “chess intelligence?” What was I doing? Right, I was making distinctions. Now, what do you think that means? Right again, it means I am (very) intelligent!

    A pleasure as always.

    Cheerio!

  3. At 16, he shouldn’t have a full licence yet, should he?
A stunting charge should at least have his licence revoked, I do believe.
I don’t think he had enough for 6 points to be taken off….

    Anyone know?
I know I’d feel better if the little shit wasn’t on the road anymore.

  4. Funny how I always here stories from the old guys at work about going 120mph in a 19whatever, Mustang or Trans Am. and getting a stern warning from the cops or losing their licence for a week, Funny how they all turned into successful family men with decent jobs, Kids do stupid shit people do stupid shit, Cyclist, when your using the roads with 3000 pound steel boxes driving around you, your taking a huge risk, Same with people who drive Smart Cars on the highway… Safer heavier cars with lots of air bags cost more and take more gas, Safety isn’t free… It’s your CHOICE!
