So I was sitting with a friend outside the Public Gardens on Saturday chatting and having a coffee. After all it was a wonderful day. The intersection in front of us SGR and South Park. There are crosswalks and traffic lights. But both seem to be invisible to taxis. We witnessed taxis speeding through the intersection, taxis failing to yield to pedestrians who had the right of way, taxis running red lights, cutting off a cyclist, and taxis that were illegally parked. All this in just a 20 minute span. Are taxis in HRM exempt from the rules of the road? or do they just not give a damn because they are unionized? —Where To?

taxis everywhere are idiots. Thats why i stopped taking them when a day after i took a taxi my debit account was locked. The bank called me to tell me someone has been trying to take out large amounts of money out of my account. The only place i used my debit card was in the taxi. Also a taxi driver yelled at me through his car window. Now i refuse to take any taxi anywhere.

did you get roof light numbers and company names? if not, why are you whining about it here, there is a place where cops go, called a police station.although some timmie’s places are a close second. but report it if you have info. we are not the cop shop here, although we have lots of power, we still can’t do their job.

OB…didn’t anyone tell you the roads belong to the Taxi’s.
They are nice enough to let us use them as well…but they have retained the right to run us off their road whenever they wish !
Don’t bother reporting the offending cabs to whatever migrant company they belong to. Get video or pictures on your cell of the cabs and just submit that to the cops. The company won’t do fuck all, except maybe suicide bomb your house, so just report them to the cops.
Get 10 minutes of useable footage and post the fucker on U-Boobtube. It’ll get someone’s attention.
They work for a pittance and get robbed, shot, beaten and left unburied. Fuck off.
