There is a sign written in probably font size 20, which is pretty big for people to see clearly. People never read the “Fine Print” on coupons and promotions I know for a fact as I work in retail. But when a door is known to slam and disrupt the people living closely to it, maybe you should all RESPECT your fellow “apartment mates” and have some common courtesy to notice the sign posted directly above your face and read it and follow what it says. “Please do not let door slam.” It’s been two days and everyone has been using this door because the front is well let’s say being repaired and from the early morning to late night I have been hearing this door slam every maybe 15 minutes ish or so. Some of us work early and some of us have homework to focus on. It’s bad enough that when the door slams the entire apartment shakes from it so much the flipping blinds on the window shake.
The point of this “Bitch” was to point out the fact that even though most of you are students and reading is probably something you do daily – I hope, that I just cannot believe that you all can’t read a sign when you put your key in to open the door when it’s posted directly IN FRONT of you. Simple fix. Get the building owners to repair it, or simple remove the hinges and let it hang.
Its a proven fact people don’t read what’s in front of them, example, on our debit machine at work we have a sign taped to it that says no chip, as well tape over the bottom where a chip card would go, people still try to put the chip in machine! Another one is if we have to use the bathroom we post our sign that says be back in 5 min sorry for any in-convince, the sign is right next to the door handle that has to be pulled to get into the store, they still buzz and buzz and buzz.
