But seriously, what’s with all the tall men I see walking around with really short women? Every tall guy I’ve seen around this year with a girlfriend is always hovering way above her. I’m 5’9″ and the couple of tall guys I’ve dated always commented at how natural it felt. Probably has something to do with not dislocating a disc in their neck when we went to kiss. I’m 5’10” and always had a height requirement when dating. Then I broadened my horizons and dated men who were same height/shorter than me. It had no impact on chemistry and I realized that the only thing blocking my attraction had been my own limited thinking. In the end, I ended up with a 6’3″ fella, but it wasn’t necessarily his height that attracted me to him.
Short/small girl = smaller vagina. Some boys like that.

I dated taller girls for a while. It’s all well and good till the high heels come out, and the dancing. It’s hard to dance with a girl who’s not a few inches shorter than you while wearing heels.
Anyways, in my experience, no matter how tall, short, large/small breasted, long or short legged, fat, skinny, beautiful or ugly they are, most women find something to complain about when it comes to their looks. Even the most drop dead gorgeous ones. So if it wasn’t height, I have a feeling OP would find something else to complain about that other women have that she doesn’t. (or in this case what she does have that other women don’t, height.)
I’m telling you this goes for damn near every woman I’ve ever met or talked to. The short ones all wanna be model tall, the tall ones wanna be short, the big ones wanna be small and the skinny ones wanna gain weight. The ones with the big boobs want to get them reduced, the smaller breasted ones want implants, the girls with the big asses wanna loose it, the ones with little bums want a bigger one.
I think any mature man will tell you confidence and security trumps looks. Everyone has insecurities and that’s fine, but damn ladies stop being so hard on yourselves and comparing yourselves to other women it’s really unbecoming and annoying. And endless. No matter how beautiful and sexy you are there WILL be a better looking girl somewhere.
Some men like short women. A lot of women like tall men. So what?

shit carries over, even through the eons.people are hardwired from birth to seek out the best possible mate, to have the best possible kids. but somehow, nature fucks up these women’s heads, and you can see the results walking around you, everyday. not pretty, but that is the way it goes. the suckster is now ready, next.
People who would pick a mate solely based on their height have issues.
There’s more to people than their height. Height is only one of many things that people choose their mates on — some people don’t even care about that.
I’ll give OP the benefit of the doubt bcause she said she’s probably just tired and cranky, though.
I have a friend who’s 6’5″ who said he loves short girls. Something about feeling more able to ‘protect’ them more than taller girls. Or something about how women aren’t usually seen as large as men and short women, being smaller than most men, are seen as more feminine. Or something. *shrug*

That’s what I like to hear PK, love who you are. We all have stuff we’d like to change about ourselves but you can’t be perfectionist when it comes to your body, because one person’s definition of the “perfect body” or “pefect looking person” will differ vastly from the next.

I think I get where OP is coming from now though. She very likely wants a man who is taller than her, like 99.7% of women, so she’s mad that all the tall ones seem to be taken by tiny chicks. Short men feel your pain, OP.
5’9″ is a great height, I guarantee there are girls who look at you and want to look like you. Not to mention guys who find you attractive.
Why do you care, OP? Are you heightist?? The average height of a man is something like 5 ft 9.5 in, and most guys around appear to be atleast that. I find there aren’t many noticeably short guys around…but I suppose that’s because I’m down here at 5 ft 4; all my previous boyfriends looked tall compared to me..except one who was a fraction shorter than me. He was great!
You’re above average in height; and if you’re single and really set on finding someone taller than you, you might be losing out. I personally think the taller woman/shorter man couples look really cute. It shows confidence and open-mindedness from both parts, which is probably why I appreciate them.

It’s hit or miss with me for the petite jeans. They’re either too long or too short. And regular length are always too long. I’m long waisted and short so my legs are extra little.
I know how to sew and hemming is my forte (my new sewing machine even came with a blind stitch foot!), but hemmed jeans just don’t… have the same look. 🙁
It’s funny though b/c my dad’s way over 6 feet and he’s long waisted too so while he wears tall sizes in shirts, he has to get his pants in a short inseam (28 I think?). LOLZ.
In any event, men and women of every shape and size are awesome. Variety is the spice of life. 🙂
Just because you may be attracted to someone of a certain height, doesn’t mean there aren’t others who might not be that height that’s just as awesome. In life, you generally can’t find EVERYTHING you’re looking for in one actual person.
