Wow, thanks guys, I wasn’t quite sure I knew what a douchebag was. Now I know.

You come in at about 6 o’clock, plastered, belligerent, obnoxious, loud, crude.

The lone female who was with you was embarrassed and I was embarrassed for her. You make inappropriate comments to the waitress, spit on the floor, play tug of war with a phone or something, causing your chairs to scuffle all over the place to the point where me and my friend couldn’t have a conversation over the noise. Then one of you punches the other in the groin area and a fight almost ensues. I felt like throwing you over the balcony myself. I would have been entertained if I wasn’t irked by your very existence.

Who the hell raised you? Farm animals? Being drunk as a skunk by 6PM is one thing, but damn, I can be drunk as hell and still be polite and not a total jerk.

I know this particular place isn’t a 5 star restaurant or anything, but even they wouldn’t serve you, and you idiots couldn’t take a friggin hint and leave after everyone else was served within a reasonable amount of time except you.

To the waitress/bouncers: next time, consider the comfort of the other patrons in the establishment and ask people like this to leave, sooner rather than later. Don’t just let them sit there and bug everybody until they finally ask if their order’s coming. Don’t wait until then to tell them that they aren’t being served. You could have had them out of there and let the rest of us who didn’t show up tanked enjoy our wings and beer. That’s why we didn’t leave a good tip. —A Local

  1. I would tell the server I’m leaving without eating my meal or paying unless the poo flinging chimps are sent back to the zoo.

  2. Balcony? Waitress/Bouncer? Wings? You apparently were in a BAR where a DRUNK patron is the norm………..what part of this didn’t you grasp when you walked through the door?

    Classy!

  3. These people are the results of parents who don’t make their kids get a job at any point in their lives, cook or do laundry or think for themselves whatsoever up until the point they are booted out the door and into the college dorm. They’re basically still the same 14 year old kid going and hanging out at Timmie’s with their friends, not buying anything, and throwing napkins all over the floor. Except now they can be served alcohol. It’s sad.

  4. I must agree with you, Mole Rat – Hub-Unit and I taught the kids the value of money from a very early age. Which is why they paid their way through post-secondary instead of putting themselves in the shackles of a $50,000 student loan. I insisted that each kid had gap years after high school to teach them what the life of a minimum wage worker was like. All succeeded, all have a hard work ethic. Not bad for kids born in the late 80s and early 90s.

  5. I don’t know Mole Rat. I had a job when I was in high school and my parents gave me a shit load of chores (mainly cooking and cleaning). And I still had moments of drunken douchebaggery in the early years of university. I think it’s more about maturity than anything else. The few people I did know who didn’t have any drunken “episodes” were those who happened to be more mature than their peers.

  6. Did you read the bitch GV? They were not served. The waitress took their order and then just let them sit there bugging everybody, knowing that she wasn’t going to serve them.

The professional thing to do would have been to tell them they weren’t being served. Finally, one of them asked and she told them that she had been advised not to serve them by the bouncers.

So the way I see it, the bouncers, or the waitress, should have said “I’m sorry you guys are clearly over the limit, I’ll have to ask you to leave”. I think that would have been preferable for all parties involved, including those douches.

Koda, it was 6 PM. And it wasn’t the drunkenness I took issue with, after all I was there to drink too. It was the immaturity and lack of manners and respect.

I go to bars all the time, and never complain about the patrons, these guys just cooked my goose. The wings were kinda cold too 😛 I won’t be going back to that place any time soon.

  7. Sometimes I do, sometimes I don’t PG. Sometimes bird edits my name out of the signature. It was at the Alehouse.
