I’m getting sick and tired of Metro Transit drivers making poor decisions regarding traffic lights. On multiple occassions over the last few weeks I’ve seen metro transit drivers decide to go through a yellow light even though the cars in front of the bus are lined up to the intersection. The bus then sits there blocking the whole intersection and no one can move.
If this happens again I’ll be filing a formal complaint, not that it’ll matter. You’d think people that drive for a living would actually know how to do it right. —Worst Transit System in Canada?

My pet peeve are the bus drivers who are “nice” and let cars in front of them in traffic – what is up with that? They should be worried about making schedules and getting customers from point A to point B, not saving people who are driving cars, time…
Worst transit system in canada?
Yeah, you OBVIOUSLY haven’t used Kings Transit.
You know what irks me? People who live in Halifax or other cities who bitch their faces off about the public transit systems when it could be FAR worse: you could live in a rural area and HAVE NO PUBLIC TRANSIT. I would’ve killed for any public transit when I lived in the Valley. KT didn’t extend to my locale when I lived there.
I know MT has problems and it’s far from perfect, but at least it gets me where I need to go ffs.
The bus drivers going through Windsor Street exchange are notorious for entering the intersection when they know they can’t successfully get through the intersection before the red light and then end up blocking traffic. It’s all those lazy, fat fucks on the bus……makes the bus so heavy it can barely move.
Don’t file a complaint to MT, snap a picture and call the cops. What they’re doing is actually illegal. Another bad spot is heading south on Barrington at the Duke St intersection.
Bus stuck in the intersection? Yeah, that’s bad. Worst transit system in Canada though? Hyperbole much?
U are right OP… 2 ppl have already been hit by a bus. MT drivers DO NOT care.
Bon:
Just like MT drivers, nobody cares about your stupid opinion either.
faggot saying, “It’s all those lazy, fat fucks on the bus……makes the bus so heavy it can barely move.”
Don’t worry, faggot, Walmart can always order more Justin Bieber posters for you or you can always go to another location. I doubt you’re trying to get to some guy’s house before his wife gets home.
yadayada fucking yada. if you can do a better fucking job o.p., then get hired by metro transit. you seem to have all the needs for a driver. let’s see how long you would last, til you blew a fucking fuse. i know a lot of these guys, and know foor a fact, that driving one of those fucking buses is no fun job. the hours are shit, a lot of passengers are shit, the times are shit, and a lot of other things are shit about the job. but what the fuck, it does keep them from sucking welfare money out of us.i just bet that you are one of those i just mentioned here.
Blocking an intersection? I can’t say I’ve blocked an intersection with my bus. The most I’ve done was straddle two lanes because unfortunately my 40″ bus cannot make a tight corner unlike a passenger vehicle. If the lights turning and I can’t make it through I simply do not go through. I also cannot speak for any other driver out there other than myself.
Don’t blame all the drivers for the actions of a few. As a soon-to-be driver, and one who knows a few drivers, none of the guys I know pull that stunt. Yes, it sucks – but cars do it too. See any intersection in Bayers Lake, the bridge and Nantucket/Wyse intersection, and the Commodore/Brownlow intersection in Burnside.
i don’t take transit, but when riding my trusty steed, i never ever worry about buses. tho i don’t drive like a fuckface™
