Since I am not allowed to mention names…a certain someone who is NDP and sits city council who is a most admirable man who has my utmost respect, who is a thinker and not a stinker who is a genuinely caring compassionate person in and for his community however he defines it….was dissed today……
As I posted earlier people surround themselves with like people to justify their behaviour and it is said in Tim’s article that this man was passed over and denied a role in cabinet because he is not a team player…like that is a bad thing….. more than ever I have respect for this man who I cannot name….. stunning yet no it is not….
So my issue for this post is keeping good folks out of positions where they can do more good for more people on more issues…..this should cause some of you some pause….. I warned you guys about who this new govt is all about but does any one listen to me 😉
Please give this man some love……he is an outstanding human being…. and stands alone…..
Shame on you…you know who you are……but I know who you are too and not shocked that you choose to keep this ethical person away from you…..
You mean he is not a minion that you can mold and brainwash….
Down with poli-agendas that keep good folks from doing their elected jobs…..so that the masses can benefit

Maybe someone is being smart by keeping a loudmouth out who will cause problems and guarantee that a certain party will not be re-elected, especially as they are virgins.
He is a smart guy but he is also an idiot when it comes to getting along with others. He can be an arrogant prick and can cause all kinds of public disruption and discontent when he doesn’t get his way. That’s why he’s on the outside.
I guess we see folks in whatever light we meet them……this was my ‘bitch’ for today but really every day…
There are so many good folks doing great work who get passed over at promotion time or benefit time or fruits of your labour time and I see this as one of those times…..
This man is also responsible for challenging the Lord’s Prayer at city hall…and those types of changes may be small potatoes for some but big taters for those watching human right violations…. I have never known him to be a prick..I have always known him to be honest, caring and very respectful to me and others…
Now I only say on a coalition with him and never worked one on one….. but often those that will not conform to ‘minionary’ and/or challenge the status quo are often seen as radical, pricks…once upon a time rad women were burned at the stake and called witches… now they are called f****** crazy biotches….

…I also think the new NDP govt prefers to keep impressing the ladies in his party……and the male I respect wants no part of that agenda that is not about real business.
Still this guy I am talking about has been true to the bone to the NDP since I can remember much when it was not fashionable and such loyalty used to count for something and it still does among people with character and integrity…
I just think we should all be tired of a govt that wants minions….I want a govt that……..thinks…challenges me and itself….

The issue is the guy who got dissed is one of the Last Mohicans…I mean real NDP…..

The guy’s name is Howard Epstien and yes you can name him, he is a public figure. You cannot name yourself, politicians etc are fair game as long as no laws are broken when mentioning them.

Adding…my point was by keeping him out of cabinet deters him from doing more of what he would like to do and that is counter intuitive/ productive……being I thought this new govt was to be different from the rest meaning actually getting some work done?

This is also ties in with the issue of nepotism which is alive and well in NS…..the best folks for the job are often overlooked to favour old favours…
It also speaks to affirmative action issues: an old debate…..when a person is selected due to poli- mandates rather than best qualified…..
When did we ever think it was copacetic to NOT hire the most qualified….we have sewage issue now because of this ‘ not hiring the best’ issue…and how many other examples in our govt alone…..
When we hire the most skilled/trained/qualified/experienced and it still goes wrong then we can remedy this issue faster than when we leave it to the rest whose responsibility often gets diffused in the problem so no one is held accountable….just the tax payers…
Maybe that is the strategy…to hire less than best to have a back pocket full of scapegoats ????
