I wake up to the sounds of screeching wheels and smashing bangs thanks to the oval that takes up all the space in front of my house.
A WARNING WOULD’VE BEEN NICE? Thanks for destroying my rest all week, HRM. —h8sk8

waaa, i live on the commons and people are using it!
Waaa, sobb, oh, someone get me a kleenex.
You live downtown, you get the noise. No avoiding it.
I didn’t realize there was a global shortage of ear plugs.
good to know.
A warning?? Srsly? Hmmm…I guess the months of talk and debate and petitioning to keep the oval this past winter/spring and then the VERY public and official decision to keep and construct a permanent oval beginning this summer, and the fact that it was plastered all over local radio/local news/local papers in both digital and paper format does not count for giving you any notice?? Where the fuck have you been hiding the past 8 months?? Unless you have just recently moved in from out of province, then you should have known about this. And if you HAVE just moved in, as has been said previously, you want to live downtown next to a large public-use city common area, than you get the noise that comes with it. You should have researched the area BEFORE purchasing your home.
Don’t you just hate it when these Olympic sized ovals sneak up on you!!
Fucking wet blanket society. Whine whine whine, that’s all I hear about anything this city does to better itself. I’m so sick of this crap. Why don’t you all form a fucking group, sell your houses and buy a large plot of land, and build a community for those who don’t like anything. You can build a fifty foot wall, with a moat, and cover the whole thing with cheese cloth to keep the whine inside where it belongs.
Well, as long as I can see McNabs Island & the harbour entrance from Citadel Hill, build up the friggin city. Like Toyoko, the only place to build, is up.
btw ob, ih81337
so, get out there, and put your skates on anyway, don’t be a last minute douchebag.
OP do you complain about the noise from swarmings and assaults on the Commons too, or is that music to your ears?
