To the fuckface bus driver who drives the Colby bus in the mornings. Thanks for announcing to the whole bus I was 5 cents short on my bus fare. Thanks to you and your two cents worth, I had to put an extra LOONIE in – cuz that was all I had. You just had to say something. Do those 5 pennies come off your pay check? Like, I KNOW the fare is $2.25 you smug fuck. Could you not talk just to hear the sound of your own voice? Thanks to you I didn’t have enough for the bus fare back home and had to bum a ride from my cranky father. Next time shut the fuck up and drive the bus, ASSHOLE! Metro transit, you are such sticklers for exact fare, what do you do with the surplus when people like me are forced to put in a whole loonie? This world has no humanitarians anymore, it’s become an ugly place full of money grubbers. FUCK YOU! —Pissed on the Bus
This article appears in Jul 28 – Aug 3, 2011.

If the bus fare is $2.25, then you have to pay $2.25. I don’t see why you would think otherwise.
Jennifer, i don’t think this person is disputing the fare. They’re more pissed off that the driver appeared to take pleasure in announcing to the entire bus that the person was a nickle short.
Quite frankly i’m most angry at the other passengers. Who the fuck doesn’t step up when it’s a question of a nickle? I sure as hell do. I’ve been there. I wish i’d been on your bus.
Next time pay him in pennies.
Isn’t there a spot on the transfer where they can write the overage fare on it and you can show it to the next bus driver? Pretty sure there is, on the back.
if it became common place for people to short change the bus driver, there would many people using and abusing it. The driver works for government, and as a gov employee he sometimes has to enforce some not so popular policies. Give him a break,
Maybe the driver thought that someone might donate the 5 cents if they knew you needed it. I would have, but I don’t take the bus 🙁
Cranky father, cranky OP seems like a pattern
Do you do this often, OP? Get upset when greedy money grubbing bastards who provide goods and/or services insist on you paying the full cost rather than what you happen to have in your pockets at the time. Do you get as obnoxious when you’re caught out? Must be a very harsh existence for you. And please don’t use the old “It’s only 5 cents argument” Doesn’t matter if it was $5.00 or 5 grand. Did the driver have to make an issue of it? Maybe. Could someone else have helped you? Probably. I’m willing to bet the passengers heard a fair bit of the sound of your voice too, after he called you out. If you’re anything like any of the other fare jumpers I’ve encountered, I’d have tossed a loonie at you just to shut you up.
So, the lesson learned ,Ms. Blanche DuBois, is this:
You CANNOT depend on the kindness of strangers. You’re a fool to assume it and a cunt to think you’re entitled to it.
One day I got on the bus and asked “what’s the fare, 2.25?”. I hadn’t paid cash in a long time (used a pass for a while, currently don’t ride all the time so mostly I have tickets, just didn’t have any that day). He said “or whatever, doesn’t matter.” I was annoyed that he blatantly thought I was poor and a charity case, as I had the cash, just sincerely didn’t know what the fare was! I wanted a yes or no answer, not to be fucking patronized. Anyhow, I fucking hate the bus. And I hate being poor and having to take it.
Pay the fare and shut up. You are in the wrong, not the bus driver. Calm down too. Too much teen angst in you. The world isn’t out to get you. You dig your own holes. Stop it.
I’m on your side OP, and they never use those overage things. Fuck Metro Transit and their 5 cents. They should be able to make change in that situation. They also wouldn’t have given you back your 2.20, they pocket it. I’d call and complain.
Fucking pricks let those stroller moms break the rules and hold everyone up for an hour AND get their way but can’t let you go 5 cents.
If you guys are going to argue that he has to pay the fare, then he should get his change back. Why is Metro Transit’s 5 cents more important than OP’s 95 cents? I think it’s unfair to ask people to overpay for anything, especially PUBLIC fucking transit. I can’t think of any other place where it is acceptable for a business to just keep your change.
Our buses are ancient, other places I’ve been you can buy a ticket from the driver and he will give you exact change back, then again buses run every 3 minutes in these places and therefore don’t usually have a ton of people trying to board at once.
Don’t the Trolley’s still make change?
http://spacingatlantic.ca/uploads/atlantic…
yeah, if you think he’s going to be a cashier now as well, you’re out of your mind.
Do you want them to get a raise up to $35 an hour cause they now have to be bond-able?
the rules haven’t changed… and the prices are posted right on the side of the fucking buses.
Sure, they may be swayed in favor of metro transit… but it’s they that are providing the service. They set the rules and so you put up and shut up or choose to fuck off.
It blows… and that’s why people complain… but them’s the brakes.
Honestly though, is it REALLY that hard????
The fare is $2.25, it’s well advertised as such and is even written on the bus itself, I don’t recall seeing “ish” after the fare – $2.25ish.
Perhaps you thought you were in a middle eastern country where you could haggle over the price?
It is pretty stupid (or greedy) how there is no change dispensed.
When I visited Japan, you hopped on a bus, grabbed a ticket that marked where you got on. When you exited, you placed the ticket in the fare box, it told you what the fare was (say 350 yen), put in a 1,000 yen bill and it gave you change back, all 650 yen.
I know, complicated shit, but fuck it makes sense!
OMF. Really? Fare is $2.25. Pay $2.25. If you don’t have $2.25 then you will be told. $2.25 is the fare. Why not get a bus pass and avoid having to ensure you have $2.25 for every $2.25 ride you take? $2.25 easy to keep a hold of. $2.25.
People are stupid. It’s the bus driver’s fault that you didn’t pay the exact fare? How about he’s just doing his job. I would never dream of paying for something and being 5cents short and expecting the vendor to give me what I want.
I love how people are the first to jump on drivers. Yes, there’s assholes in the system. But with regards to the fare, there’s a place on the back for overage, and you get your money back. Get angry at the people who designed the system, not the drivers.
You know, I’m willing to bet that every one of you would be pissed off too. You all act like you’re so fucking perfect and never have a bad day.
I’m not the OP, just so you know, but seriously, every fuckin business lets you go 5 or 10 cents, because they value your business more than those couple pennies. What the fuck makes metro transit so special that they don’t act like other businesses. They know damn well that a lot of people put 3 bucks on the bus because they don’t make change.
They are the absolute worst, most frustrating and literally unbelievable company I’ve ever dealt with. They never acknowledge any wrongdoing on their part and NEVER compensate their paying customers for outrageous incidents that occur on their buses. Their call centre people are rude and non empathetic.
Seriously it’s 2011, break a fuckin loonie, MT, or don’t, and give someone a break on a fuckin nickel, I could see a quarter, but 5 cents is not worth keeping someone’s 2.20 and kicking them off the bus.
I can’t see how someone can argue that the OP should lose his 2.20 and walk because Metro Transit needs their nickel. ANY OTHER BUSINESS ON EARTH would be able to give you back your 2.20, or make change for a dollar for that matter.
Lies, Tommy, lies. I had to call their call center on Friday because I sat in coffee on one of their buses. I was sitting in the back and didn’t want to waltz in front of everyone with a brown stain on my ass to tell the bus driver, so I got off at my stop and ran home, changed then called them to let them know so it wouldn’t ruin anyone else’s day and the lady at the call center was super sweet and said sorry, even though they had no control over it. If you call them with an attitude and bitch at them, I don’t blame them for not giving a shit about your problem. And it’s not like they have to worry about customers anyway. What are you going to do, take the other public transit? I never knew that businesses will let you pay less than the total, good to know.
Undoubtedly I would be pissed off. I would also know exactly whose fault it was. I’m not claiming to be Saint Ivan of Sukmearsk. I’ve taken my chances on shorting the fare when faced with a choice of denying Mesozoic Transit a quarter or giving them 75 cents that they have in no way earned. But I’ve always had a plan “B”. And a Plan “C” – the long scenic walk through some of HRM’s friskier neighborhoods. And I’d never get cunty if caught. I’d plead the confusion of old age. Somehow it’s more dignified.>: )
As far as “Valuing my business” MT doesn’t need to. They know they have a monopoly. My continued patronage doesn’t count for shit.
oh, ok. go to a gas station and pump in 20.10 and pay with a 20 and put it up on youtube how accommodating they are to you.
far as I can tell, only small mom-n-pop shops would let that slide…
a couple cents, maybe.. if you’re lucky.
This isn’t a ‘tip’ over the charge for the service… which is COMPLETELY NON-MANDATORY BTW… this is the price of the ride. Don’t like it? Don’t have it? walk, roll, crawl, thumb your way to where you need to go.
And don’t give me bullshit all, “you’re a jackass, etc…”. I helped a dude out just last night getting change for the last bus of the evening before he was stranded downtown.
so fuck off.
Preparation is key! You take the bus make sure you have the correct change for it.
Procrastination or lack of prep. on your part does not constitute as an emergency on other peoples.
It is time to take responsibility for lack of your own actions and stop blaming others for your embarrassing mistake.
Just make sure you have $4.50 OP and you won’t be embarrassed by the driver or disturb dear old Dad.
I had an ex-driver tell me his supervisor always said don’t argue over a few cents. It’s not worth it. It’s not – on either end. You know it’s 2.25 so why only have 2.20? if you dropped your nickle then okay – maybe you could have asked the kind people on the bus if anyone had the 5 cents. We don’t bite you know and if I was on the bus and if I had it I’d help out. I won’t give you $2 or a bus ticket but a few cents sure.
and I thought it was 2.50 so there you go – that’s why I have a bus pass!
A) MT isn’t a business per se. It’s government. It’s employees are employed by HRM. You know. The place where you live. So bitch at HRM not at Transit.
B) Too right I make sure I have the right change for the bus. I always have tickets too on hand in the bottom of my bag if low and behold I don’t have money.
C) It’s not a MT call centre. It’s an HRM call centre.
D) Pay the posted fare.
E) The driver was doing his job.
F) Yes, it would be easier for you to give the driver $3 and he give you change. A lot of cities do that. Halifax isn’t one of them. So deal with it.
Here is your payback – save 226 pennies. Next bus ride pour then into the receptacle.
Metro Transit needs full fare to recover the $300,000 stolen by its employees at Burnside. Took transit years to realise they were employing thieves.
I didn’t see in your bitch wether or not you asked politely if he could let it slide, it is only 5 cents. I guess if he said no then you have to pay it, no matter how douchey it seems to you or anyone else. It sucks, but I bet it won’t happen again huh?
I can’t believe OB started a sentence with… “Like,”. I know Tweens say this but really, they have to butcher the english language and write it too?
Typical post by some entitled spoilt little toss sack – if the entitlement factor gets any worse then the next generation will be even more fucking stunned. To quote Lewis Black “nothing more than meat with eyes”
OP sounds like a huge douche.
Take note, this is how an spoiled little asshole reacts to being legitimately called out on something. Can you say temper tantrum?
That something being five cents makes it all the more sad.
No wonder you father is cranky around you.
Ihear tickets or a bus pass work a lot better there Sometimes you won’t have exact change, so why should you ride cheaper than the rest of the people.
Yeah, it might only be 5 cents today, what about next time, less 10 cents and so on. I have a friend that drives bus,. and she says some of you will try a lot to get on, and ride free, or just about free.
I believe her when she says people are cheap, and a thief is still a thief, if only for 5 cents.
To quote Pork Pie; “entitled spoilt little toss sack” is the best thing I have heard all day. Bravo!
baz is full of british gems^^giv over ya feckin wanker. all my slang comes from corrie st
As a Brit, I welcome any and all slang terms. From Corrie, or elsewhere.
Perhaps 5p doesn’t sound like much but if the driver had to do this for everyone surely it would add up … perhaps he’d just done it for the person before you … ya never know. People don’t HAVE to be polite OP, he was following the rules and it shouldn’t be expected that the driver wouldn’t care about 5 “lousy” cents.
… cranky dad … oh who cares. Did you get home … yes. The end.
OP, OP, OP….when will you learn that’s what you get with scum class transit.
The only thing about that, Al, that strikes me as weird is that you pay after you ride.
You all seem to be forgetting that OP DID have enough to ride, but was pissed he had to break his last dollar for 5 cents. So he did come prepared.
You all just proved my points with your comments about how they have a monopoly and the don’t care.
In my mind it’s a matter of principle, these guys should be held to a higher standard than the rest of us because they are paid tax dollars but somehow, they seem held to a lower standard. They should at least be held to the same goddamn standard.
It’s not ok for me to be rude to customers at my job no matter how rude obnoxious or difficult to deal with they are. It makes me mad that those who are paid tax dollars and that are paid more than me, are held to such a shitty standard.
It’s similar to supporting those who abuse welfare in my opinion, you’re working hard so they can work half assed.
“If you call them with an attitude and bitch at them, I don’t blame them for not giving a shit about your problem.” is exactly what I’m talking about.
IT’S THEIR FUCKING JOB TO ACT LIKE THEY GIVE A FUCK, NO MATTER HOW MUCH OF AN ASSHOLE YOU ARE TO THEM!!! I hate when people act like there’s NEVER a valid reason to be pissed off about something. If I have a valid complaint I will not force myself to put on a pretty smile for the representative of the company that I have a beef with. They are paid by our tax dollars to represent the city and as such MT and their job is to grin and bear it.
Wtf is so hard to understand about that? I work in payroll, you don’t think I want to get fresh with people every single fuckin day? How many people who seem to think that their pay is short because of something I did? How many times I want to scream “THAT’S WHY IT’S CALLED A FUCKING TAXABLE BENEFIT ASSHOLE!!! BECAUSE IT’S FUCKING TAXABLE!!!!! CALL THE FUCKING GOVERNMENT IF YOU HAVE A PROBLEM WITH IT!!”
But I dont!! because it’s my god damn job and it makes me mad that my tax dollars pay people who can be rude to paying customers with no repercussions. I had two experiences with drivers that honestly left me lost for words. I could NEVER IN A MILLION YEARS find a job that allowed me to speak to and in front of customers the way they did, and when I called them they basically told me to go fuck myself. There are a lot of good driver and MT employees but MT themselves are fucking scumbags. Interacting with them makes me fucking sick every time. You’re right, their attitude always comes off as “if you don’t like it, find another way around” It’s no wonder this city has way too many cars on the road and nowhere to park.
Everyone who works with the people will get bitched out and pissed off and annoyed, but for some reason a lot of public employees seem to get a pass from a lot of you “give him a break” you say. Give me a gat dayum break if you wanna give someone a break!
That driver gets overpaid by our dollars and the ones that do a shitty job should be fired no questions asked, but they’re not. If they can’t handle public interaction they need to look for a new job. Anyone can drive a bus, not anyone can be a bus driver.
My beef isn’t really with the driver even in this particular scenario, even though it’s still kind of a dick move, but MT just sucks and one reason is that they don’t even offer you an overage when plenty of people overpay every day and then want to turn around and haggle over a fucking nickel.
OB, self-entitled twat. I wonder if Air Canada would give you a ticket if you were 5 cents short, I doubt it.
Owning up to the fact that you wrote that douchy bridge bitch has pretty much invalidated everything you say in this bitch, tommy, because you’ve had your own little self entitled freak out expecting to get special treatment. And that ain’t right.
Fare is 2.25, OP. Not 2.20, not 2 bucks and not 75 cents like that pug dog old bitch tries to pull on south park st all the time (who curiously has a whole wad of bills in her pocket), and there’s no mechanism for providing change. You don’t sound like it’s your first transit trip, OP, so unless you have an IQ of 4, you would know this. It’s not the job of someone providing a service to give you a free ride (might’ve only been 5 cents, but why do YOU get to pay 2.20 and I still have to pay 2.25? what makes you so fucking special? You’re special alright — a special kinda stupid) and OH HAY you didn’t put enough fare into the box. Ivan said it perfectly: the price of goods and services are set by the people providing them and not by whatever you happen to have in your pocket at the time. Don’t have enough money? Well then I guess you won’t be getting said good or service.
So pay up, sit down and shut the fuck up.
And I’d be cranky too if I had to claim a little shit wad like you as my child. Probably wishes your mother had’ve swallowed.
Maybe the fareboxes should have those ‘have-a-penny-need-a-penny cups’ to help those a few cents short of the fare. LOL!
How are the buses supposed to stay on schedule if they have to make change for everyone who needs it at every stop?
“Owning up to the fact that you wrote that douchy bridge bitch has pretty much invalidated everything you say in this bitch, tommy” *GASPPPPPPP* I knew it!
Ahhhh I guess I missed the part about the loonie, but reading it now I gotta say TJ … if the person did know the fare … and did come prepared … that’s a pretty ballsy thing to do … insert 2.20 and stand there grinning like … Herp derp … um can you let this one ssssslide plzzzzzzzzzzzzzz buzz driverrrrrrrrrr? *blinks eyes twice*
To be honest … if it was me … I probably would have just let the 5 cents go … but then again … I don’t drive buses and I don’t know how people try to be sneaky, I don’t deal with the ins an outs of it …
My dad had a friend who was a bus driver back in the day and he always said as long as he heard SOMETHING tinkle in the fare box it was a’ight.
I’d probably let the 5 cents slide too, but the driver was under no obligation to do so.
I mean, OP could’ve mentioned their plight BEFORE they put the money in — so you can’t put that shit on the driver. Just because some bend the rules, doesn’t mean everyone should or will or has to.
My mom and I went downtown on the bus on Sunday and going down we only had a $5 bill and we didn’t bitch because we paid 50 cents extra because OH HAY we didn’t have exact change or any tickets left. Our own fault.
As far as I’m concerned, OB can suck it.
Mole Rat – Before I left the UK I drove a bus for a couple of years. When they were Gov’t run and heavily subsidized the companies had a driver and a conductor, or ticket agent onboard, who would take the fares which were always different depending on the distance traveled, not like here where it’s a 1 size fits all. Then when the subsidies were reduced the bus companies went down to the driver doing both jobs, but additional time was added to the routes using less buses = more pissed off passengers = drivers got shat on blah blah. Just got back from a vacation to the UK and spoke to a driver, who now has to do both jobs still, but is now behind a perspex safety screen as passenger venom and attacks are common place. As the companies are now semi privately owned PROFIT is the mantra and NOBODY gets a break.
PP – it was the same in the West Midlands where I was from. You told the driver where you were going, he told you the fare. You put it in a machine. You pulled the ticket and got your change. All automated. But then again, Travel West Midlands serves a population close to 4 million. Metro Transit, serves a population not that large.
I don’t get why some people are so angsty against MT. The driver was doing his job. Under no right should he be silent when you don’t put enough change in. If you over pay, you get the money back. I did, and I had no issues.
TJ you need to read the OP again. The OB was SHORT 5 cents, and therefore put an extra loonie in. As has been said also, you can get your overage back.
I’m in a job which entails people being dicks to me all day long. They yell, the scream, they threaten to kill me. All that lovey dovey stuff. I know exactly what I would say to them if I was off the clock, but I have to bite my tounge and let it go.
As a person who knows a lot of drivers, yes, when you short change, some let it go. They can’t be bothered bickering over a few pennies here and there. Some are sticklers for the rules, and will let you on when you’re a little short, but will remind you that the fare is $2.25. Some are real sticklers and won’t drive until you pay the full fare.
Avoid situations like this, and just pay the fucking fare.
I still don’t understand what is so difficult about that concept.
Don’t be harping on at someone for doing their job. Or I’ll come in to your place of work, if you’re dealing with the public, and pay you less some pennies, and expect you to let me have the item.
Tommy, it seems like the whole world is out to get you and you never ever do anything to deserve any bad treatment. I just find that hard to believe. You say how all cops are dicks and treated you like shit for absolutely no reason. Now bus drivers and call center people. I’m sure you’re the type of person who would’ve screamed at me in my cashier days and then called to complain when I wouldn’t break the rules for you. You seem to think your poor attitude toward people should have no bearing on how you’re treated. I just don’t understand that. I never have issues like you describe with anyone! I can’t imagine bitching at a lowly employee for something they didn’t do or have no control over. People bitch at you at your job so you think you’re allowed to do the same to others? The issue isn’t the 5 cents, it’s that people EXPECT to get special treatment for no reason and then flip their shit if they don’t get it. I have an issue with that. Not fucking once do I expect a single god damn person to give a shit about my life, give me a break, any help or special treatment. When someone does offer me their help or kindness I am genuinely thankful and certainly don’t expect to get this treatment again. For some reason, people have an attitude that everyone is supposed to give them a break because woo is you, you have a child or you only make minimum wage or your dog just died or you’re an addict or your significant other just dumped you, etc, etc. I feel bad for anyone who had parents that couldn’t teach them to be independent or do anything for themselves because they’ll usually end up entitled little pricks. Go live on a fucking commune and be done with it all.
—-Tommy, it seems like the whole world is out to get you and you never ever do anything to deserve any bad treatment—–
He’s like the new Lord Suckulous, as far as me taking him seriously.
Yeahyeahyeah. I know.
Going to fuck myself now.
p.s. I adore the actual dude behind LS, so don’t huff and puff me, Grampie Gary, you big softie! <3
Mel: I can’t adequately express how wonderful that post was!
HAHA Grampie Gary!
Hey OP I’d love to see you go to Toronto or somewhere else there’s a wake up call for you 3.5 for a one way trip on some of these transit systems!
That and TTC drivers/toll people are scary as shit.
AND the supervisors have no issue with punching you out!
http://www.citytv.com/toronto/citynews/vid…
TTC are serious bizznizz!
TBAC has said everything that needs to be said about the variety of drivers and their way of handling the fare policy. It is best to assume all drivers you encounter are the anal about 5 cents type.
That said OP, I have some advice for you. First off, if you’re a few cents short, make it clear before you pay the fare and ask if it’s OK. Adding that you will cover the shortage next trip is also good as it takes the negative attention off of you. This isn’t 100% guaranteed to work, but it does work far better than the approach you tried.
We aren’t responsible for cash counts or even what’s in there, but it is hard to increase service without it being there. There is a process for overpayments but it involves going to 200 Ilsley to collect it.
Just to add, I for one am glad that MT drivers don’t have the option of carrying money and making change. These days it would be the equivalent of hanging a string of chorizos around your neck and then taunting the police K-9 team. Pork Pie’s plexiglas safety shields are about 5 years away and that is one measure that I won’t complain about when the fares go up to pay for it.
tbac, i hope you have a bulletproof, spitproof shield where you work^^
I don’t see how me complaining about the shitty service I’ve received from Metro Transit makes me think that “…the whole world is out to get [me] and [I] never ever do anything to deserve any bad treatment.”
You have no knowledge of the incidents that occurred, so your opinion is irrelevant, as a matter of fact, being that you’ve never met me, it’s irrelevant anyways, and always will be.
When someone calls you at work and they’re mad, and you immediately make it about YOU, and start taking shit personally, or treating them below the standard level of service, you are going against your training. MT will never do anything for anyone and will defend their employee’s disgusting behavior the vast majority of the time, and as a tax payer I feel I have the right to be annoyed about that. I don’t ride the bus anymore so really I don’t give a shit.
I just feel like public employees should be held to a higher standard than the rest of us, or at least the same, but they are held to a lower standard. You all may be fine with that, but I’m not. I’m not fine with my tax dollars paying someone to provide me a half-ass, unprofessional service with no repercussions for even the most vile and ridiculous behavior.
This is kinda totally off topic of the bitch though, at the end of the day he was short, the driver was doing his job, I just wish it was easier to make change in this situation where he had to overpay 95 cents.
Those overage things are there yes, but I’ve never seen or heard of anyone using one and I feel that if a driver’s going to haggle over 5 cents, he should ACTIVELY OFFER every single person who overpays an overage. That would be the right thing to do. Not his problem, I know, but I think it’d be the right thing to do. At least offer it, it would take 2 seconds “Overage, sir/ma’am?” There, done. But as you all seem to agree MT could care less.
the technology for change dispensers have existed for many years.
Well, if you had stuck the loonie in in the first place, you would have only been over 75 cents. See? Save yourself 20 whole cents! I think the driver was totally in the right.
And for what it’s worth… I’ve only ever been called out on an expired transfer once… and I stuck in another ticket, no biggie. Besides that the drivers have all been lovely to me. But I smile and drunkenly offer them cookies and always say thank you. So hey, maybe it’s me. 😀
Cookies??? =)
http://www.peekaboocookies.com/uploads/5/7…
I have had the opposite experience – I was once .25 short and the bus driver just said ‘don’t worry about it.’
Weird.
I was just piecing together your various comments Tommy. You always seem to have a story about how you never do anything wrong and the world shits on you for no reason.
I don’t have bulletproof or spitproof glass. I just know how to handle people.
’tis why I’m going to be a driver 😉
I’d like to think I’m a LITTLE more eloquent than Suckster wheeliep, but I’m definitely a ranter, and I def get carried away sometimes. I just enjoy it.
Actually, now that I think of it, releasing some of my frustrations on this message board has made me a happier and calmer person in my own life lol, and I get a kick out of it and out of you guys whether we agree or disagree. It’s also one of the only things I can do to pass the time at work when I’m not busy. Maybe me and the suckster have more in common than I thought. Dunno how I feel about that. Where’s that old rabble-rowser been hiding lately anyways? Still sulking about how we ripped him for that mother of 3 wearing a full body burka driving a late model suburban bitch? While we’re on the subject I WROTE THE TOLL BOOTH BITCH!!! Not my proudest moment but I stand by it, or at least admit to it.
lol at least I can make fun of myself right? Thanks for putting up with me guys, for real.
And Mel, there may some truth to that but I don’t recall telling too many stories on here. There was the one about getting beat up by the cops, which I really did do nothing to deserve but coincidentally, and as is often the case when cops pick on people, there was no one in sight to witness it so you’ll have to take my word for it. Or not, whatever.
Beep beep toot toot why they all in your grill, talking a whole bunch of shit that you ain’t trying to feel? They don’t know you like that.
AmirightTJ or amiright?
lol.. too bad we can’t type in unison Donk.
cuz if we could we could both type GET BACK MOFUCKA YOU DON’T KNOW ME LIKE THAT!!! lol U remember the video when that came out? I wish I had a pair of those over sized fists sometimes. I’d post the youtube if I wasn’t at work.
Thanks Pork Pie
Heh, know what else I wish I had in addition to those giant fists … a real life delete button, or calculator that rounds off all the insignificant digits that walk into my life.
Hahaha yes, that too Donk.
And pk you still don’t seem to understand the reason the toll booth incident pissed me off, so I won’t bother explaining it to you again. I’ll just say that I was not seeking special treatment, I didnt even mention to him that I was going to the hospital, specifically because I did not want any special treatment. Once again, his boss agreed with me that he should not have done what He did and I swear on my life that I was not the least bit nasty to her at any point during the conversation. We shared laughs. Go ahead and judge me as a person based on that 1 little incident, ill have my casting stones ready when ur having a rough day.
And u know what? I could have denied my unpopular bitch and saved myself some flack, but I didnt. That’s gotta count for something doesn’t it?
Tommy — you’re back peddling. Why frame it the way you did if it wasn’t the fact that the toll booth guy didn’t let you through like others have before. You said it’s not your first time pulling this crap, so I’m leaning towards the fact that not getting your own way pissed you off.
I’m not judging you as a person, I’m just calling you out on acting like a brat in that situation. We’ve all had our moments, and it’s not a marker of who someone is, but c’mon.
If you were really just pissy over the toll booth guy being a prick to you, then frame it like that.
In any event, I hope everything worked out ok re: the pain you were having. If it was kidney stones… I can relate. Gall stones are similar, except the ones I had blocked my bile duct and I ended up barfing up bile and ripping my throat to shreds. I couldn’t talk for a week.
FUN TIMES, EH?
LOL! Mad at the driver for making him pay the full amount.
Well if you’re not judging me as a person than the bitch shouldn’t “pretty much invalidate everything [I] say in this bitch”
We’ll agree to disagree, whatever, you weren’t there. If you go back and read the bitch I made it very clear that the fact that he wouldn’t let me through was not the reason for the bitch. Like I said, I’m sure I could have gotten my way if I spoke to his supervisor or started giving him my hospital story. Or I could have just gone for it.
I don’t think it’s a stone, I haven’t heard back from the x rays yet. I think I would have by now if they found anything. That’s what I thought it was though. Either way it’s a wake up call for me to start living/eating better.
When I first started having the pains that’s the first thing I thought of was a stone and I looked it up on Wikipedia and the pain they described was bang on and the dietary factors they described were also heavy in my diet. So I gotta make some changes either way. I really don’t want to piss out a hard razor sharp jagged calcium deposit. My Dad and his brothers have had them.
The hospital admin I spoke to said she’d rather give birth. And I’m pretty sure a woman’s pee hole is bigger than a man’s. Ugh.. I’m feeling better now though. I’m starting to think it’s a nerve because it starts to act up after I’m sitting for a long time. Hasn’t been bothering me lately though.
Fun times indeed PK. When SOBova had her next to last attack it was on a Sunday night, during a blizzard (so we weren’t goin no-place) and she promptly fainted and barfed up the last of the hillbilly heroin that the docs gave her on our previous trip to the ER. >: (
…and Tommy, I’m feeling a sympathetic lower twinge for you, if it is a kidney stone. I went through that once and came away undertsanding a little bit better why people like morphine so much. >: )
My mom told me her one and only gallbladder attack was more painful than childbirth.
It hurt, A LOT, I will say that, but it was the nausea that was the worst for me. The attacks would come in waves like contractions and last for 2-3 minutes each and then subside.
By the end though, they weren’t coming in waves — they were just hanging around until I vomited. UNCONTROLLABLE vomiting. All acidic bile (and usually breakfast — I’d wake up with the attacks) which would rip my throat to shreds. And it was so uncontrollable that I’d usually end up vomiting in the shower because i couldn’t get to the toilet in time (which is next to the damn tub!). And once I was half way into paying for a prescription for the pain by debit at the pharmacy and I had to RUN to the bathroom to vomit. Repeat for another few hours and things were a’ight.
I had those damn attacks for about 9 years and had no idea what they were — one time I turned white as a sheet at work and a customer told me I should take a break and sit down. Another time I had to hold onto the handle of the freezer at the grocery store so I didn’t fall down. They’d come maybe once a year, but by the end, it was a daily-every second day-thing. I never cried so much in my life.
I didn’t get the back pain, either, until I had the ultrasound. They pressed so hard that it must’ve dislodged a stone or something and I had to give up going to the gym because if I’d get my heart rate up my back would pulsate in pain.
But that’s gone now and all that’s left is the inability to eat specific oils. Olive and canola are major ones.
Fair trade off, though! 🙂
And the surgery was a piece of cake. Two days in the hospital and I went shopping via metro transit two days after I was discharged. I was up and walking around the hospital the day of the surgery. The best part was going down to the maternity ward and seeing the three babies they had there!
I had a kidney infection once; that hurt to the point of making me vomit repeatedly. I think my ruptured ovarian cyst hurt more, though. Childbirth wasn’t bad at all, thanks for the epidural. But I really hope I never have have my waters broken again; although it only lasted a minute or less, that pain trumped all others. There are certain places a long, pointy popsicle stick just shouldn’t go!! I can still shrink my husband’s balls talking about that one! :O
Not just your husband’s, you evil woman. >: 0
“The best part was going down to the maternity ward and seeing the three babies they had there!”
window shopping?
they’re dry-aging their babies so they’re fresh and juicy when you bite into them.
mmmmmm
Nah, you want babies nice and fresh when you eat them.
Baby legs just don’t taste the same when they’ve been aged.
Gotta get ’em when they’re nice and juicy.
Also: you sick bastard!!! 😀
I have a lovely gentleman friend who had a kidney stone. He was waiting for it to pass and I believe it might have been his birthday or someone’s something day so his friends convinced him to go to Ralph’s. While he was there, he had to go the bathroom and tried to pass the thing. I just thought the image of passing a kidney stone at Ralph’s was just too beautiful. He also said something that Tommy mentioned, that he thought it would be easier for a woman to pass a kidney stone than a man because “women have larger holes”. Like, I would think the male’s hole is larger. Maybe I should Google this… nah.
I think Tommy was confusing a vagina with an urethra, lol.
Babies don’t come out of urethras and pee doesn’t come out of vaginas!
I don’t think he was confusing them…
because I don’t think he knows the difference.
It’s where girl germs come from. That’s all you need to know. >; )
IT’s always a good day when you learn something new.
I didn’t even know there was a ‘ticket’ for the bus
Whenever I think or hear of a ticket, its a fine for being caught for breaking the rules !
Sorta shows how long its been since I’ve been on a bus !
But I can feel for the OB…having to pay a buck when you only owe a nickle seems a bit steep.
That wasn’t very nice Z. I know that pee doesn’t come out of vaginas but I still think the hole it does come out of is bigger than the hole that I pee out of. I could be wrong.
maybe on this chick…

but it has to be cause her bladder has to weigh 45 lbs…

Well regardless how big the hole is I don’t want to pass a stone through it, it’s pretty small no matter how you slice it. I had a couple reasons why I thought a girls opening was bigger, but I won’t delve into them. We still have no definitive proof either way. Maybe I’ll come to the next summit and me and PK can compare lol.
I still think passing a kidney stone is more painful and traumatizing for a man, not taking anything away because I’m sure it’s no walk in the park for females either.
