Enough with your shitty movie directing attempts! I’m so damn sick of actors turning directors, singers turning actors, vice versa, blar blar blar. I heard the other day she’s directing a movie called ”whip it” about a roller skating queen. WOW!!!! And supposedly our little Hali-friend Ellen Page is going to be in it. Is she CRAZY? Working with an amateur director such as Barrymore is practically career suicide.

  1. This should prove as interesting as Madonna’s directorial debut.

Little Miss Page gets to work with Chris Nolan next…bitch.

  2. I don’t know… a few actors have really done well as directors : Ron Howard, Ben Affleck, Jon Favreau, Sean Penn, and of course, Eastwood.

  3. But the first three of those weren’t very good actors. I’ll give you Penn and Eastwood as good in both the actor and director roles though. But can they sing and dance too?

  4. Eastwood is a musician to a degree… but… i mean, he wrote and performed a song at the end of Gran Tarino – let’s just say it’s a good thing it was low in the mix.

  5. Someone has to take out the entire Wayans family before they make another film. I enjoyed The Last Boyscout and The Glimmer Man and even Don’t Be A Menace….but these new spoofs are just dead time.

  6. Actually the Wayans haven’t been involved in the last 2 scary movies or the countless other “(insert genre here) Movies” … though that new dance one was them

  7. Barrymore can’t act either. How much longer does the entertainment industry have to make it up for turning her into a coked out alcoholic at 11 years of age, anyway?

Poor Ellen Page. A 2 line voice part on The Simpsons and now this…

  8. If you don’t like her stuff, don’t watch. I think Tom Criuse is a nutty dick and haven’t watched anything he’s done but I don’t go bitching about it.

  9. Hey, don’t you be dissing my gal Drew! She’s an alcoholic, a smokeaholic, and a sexaholic. My kind of girl!

  10. You really do need to know a lot about acting to be a good director, so it makes sense to be an actor first, it’s a much easier career to start.

  11. Wow, what a leap! From acting to producing! It’s right up there with musician gone producer *gasp* What a very strange progression for a career… surrounded by all those “professionals” all the time, what could they be thinking? *rolls eyes*

  12. kay, a producer’s role is vastly different from that of a director. And when did anyone mention producing??

  13. pardon me. one wrong word, I’ll spell it out for your little brain again:

Wow, what a leap! From acting (being directed) to DIRECTING! It’s right up there with musician gone producer *gasp* What a very strange progression for a career… surrounded by all those “professionals” all the time, what could they be thinking? *rolls eyes… again*
